One Drop Identity

The assumption of a sociocultural hierarchy means that some people are superior, and others are inferior. My memoir is my life story about being descended from Jamaican slavery and being not white enough or black enough to fit the label assigned to me by my so-called superiors. As I reach the final years of my life I have learned to accept myself and to appreciate the fact that no matter how difficult my life has been, there are millions of people who have been less fortunate.
