One More Kiss by Kim Amos

Betty Lindholm doesn't know whether to laugh or cry. The banner advertising the new shipment of satin at her fabric store finally arrived and now the entire town of White Pine is up in arms. How was she supposed to know there'd be a typo? Now the entire town thinks she's proclaiming "Satan is here!" Even the gorgeous pastor with his steel-grey eyes and sexy smile . . .

Pastor Randall Sondheim is always on the lookout for excuses to drop by Betty's shop and gaze into her lovely blue eyes. The latest is her crazy sign-could that be a sign of something more? Sweet Betty brings out the best in him but it's the worst in him, his dark secret tragedy, that worries Randall. Can this man of God conquer his own demons to win a match made in heaven?

One More Kiss is a cute story set in White Pine a small town. Betty, a local shop owner, has problems with local church ladies after a misprint advertises satan instead of satin. She asks Pastor Randall to help her mend fences, which leads them to finally act on their feelings for each other. When Betty's store is targeted will she and Randall be able to find their happy ending? Cute story, that felt wholesome through the first 75% of the book. I enjoyed the steamy scenes between Randall and Betty, but they felt a little out of place in a book about a pastor. I liked the setting and plan on looking up the rest of the series. Betty Lindholm is in desperate need of saving, a new sign she ordered for her shop is mistakenly labeled, and a little too spooky for her little town's Halloween Festivities. The people of White Pine think she is taking her Halloween decorating a little too far, and are asking her to remove the sign, which proves to be a little difficult since the company can't make it out to her store to take it down. She decides her only option is to take matter into her own hands and remove the sign herself, only she isn't to sure of her abilities...thank Heavens the handsome preacher has come by to save the day! Pastor Randall Sondheim has admired Betty from afar for quite a while now, and often looks for ways to get a better view. But it's as if the Heavens are sending him a sign, when her new fabric shop sign causes a town uproar and has her in need of a little help taking it down. The town is thinking Betty is channeling her inner devil, question is can the handsome Pastor save her... This was a short, but oh so sweet story, and I enjoyed every minute of it! It was not only a great introduction to the White Pine Series, but also to author Kim Amos. The story line was unlike anything else I have read, and it was quite refreshing to read something a little different for a change. I also like that the main male character was a Pastor, not too often you get the chance to read about a handsome Pastor saving the day! Definitely a book that everyone should add to their reading lists, its a charming and funny, small town romance story that is sure to satisfy all your reading needs.
