About the Author

From an early age, USA Today Bestselling author Melissa Schroeder loved to read. First, it was the books her mother read to her including her two favorites, Winnie the Pooh and the Beatrix Potter books. She cut her preteen teeth on Trixie Belden and read and reviewed To Kill a Mockingbird in middle school. It wasn’t until she was in college that she tried to write her first stories, which were full of angst and pain, and really not that fun to read or write. After trying several different genres, she found romance in a Linda Howard book.

Since the publication of her first book in 2004, Melissa has had close to fifty romances published. She writes in genres from historical suspense to modern day erotic romance to futuristics and paranormals. Included in those releases is the bestselling Harmless series. In 2011, Melissa branched out into self-publishing with A Little Harmless Submission and the popular military spinoff, Infatuation: A Little Harmless Military Romance. Along the way she has garnered an epic nomination, a multitude of reviewer’s recommended reads, over five Capa nods from TRS, three nominations for AAD Bookies and regularly tops the bestseller lists on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. She made the USA Today Bestseller list for the first time with her anthology The Santinis.

Since she was a military brat, she vowed never to marry military. Alas, fate always has her way with mortals. Her husband just retired from the AF after 20 years, and together they have their own military brats, two girls, and two adopted dog daughters, and is happy she picks where they live now.

As posted on The Smutty Kitty reviewed by KittyKelly 4 out of 5 Licks The Santinis are back!!  I am loving this family and it seems like they just keep growing so hopefully that will mean more and more books in this series.  I love all the classic tropes and this book includes the baby after one night trope.  There was certainly more than one time for these two before the baby happened but it was after just one night so it counts.  ;)  Brando is just like the other Santini men and knew the moment he met Kaitlin years ago that he wanted her.  But back then she was taken and Brando is nothing if not a respectable man and kept it at friend level back then.  Now that she's no longer taken he decided it was time to make her his.  It takes her a little while to come around to his way of thinking and he is a Santini so he has to make a few mistakes along the way-sometimes it takes a trip to the hospital to wake up and see the error of his way.  No epilogue at the end of this one but I am betting we get more baby news in the next book.  I am expecting Wendy's book to be next and I'm gonna be super disappointed if it isn't.

One Night With A Santini By Melissa Schroeder Brando Santini was nerdy in college. He wanted to be a teacher but joined the Marines instead. This trip to New Orleans was going to be time spent with his friends before heading east to take a job teaching ROTC at the University of Maryland. Not looking where he was going, he bangs into someone. Looking up to apologize, he realizes that he knows the person, Kaitlin Fitzpatrick. Brando has had a crush on Kaitlin Fitzpatrick since college. Unfortunately, Kaitlin was engaged, so it was hands off. During a trip To New Orleans, Brando runs into Kaitlin who is attending a speech therapist conference. They get together for drinks. During the conversation over drinks, Brando finds out that Kaitlin never married. One thing leads to another after a few drinks and they end up in bed. Kaitlin thinks it is a one night stand, but Brando has other ideas. Kaitlin is the one for him. Once a Santini finds "the one", nothing will stop them from going after what they want. Kaitlin realizes that she also has feelings for Brando. During their conversations, she asks Brando where he is going to be living in Maryland. He tells her that he doesn't have a place yet. Kaitlin offers him a place to stay, her place. nerves set in as Kaitlin awaits Brando's arrival. She is feeling sick, thinking she has probably caught what is going around. After a while, she realizes that she is not sick, but pregnant with Brando's baby. When Brando finds out, he tells Kaitlin that they are getting married, he doesn't ask her. Needless to say, this leads to many arguments. Once again, Melissa Schroeder has out done herself with the Santini saga. I love this series. Both Kaitlin and Brando come from large, nosey and interfering families. The secondary characters along with the dialog between these characters provide the reader with some comedic relief as Kaitlin and Brando deal with the dynamics of living in large protective families. This is a story about love, loyalty, family and a sense of duty while finding your happily ever after. I highly recommend this story and look forward to the next Santini finding "the one"

I was given an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest review. "One Night with a Santini" is a wonderful second chance romance. Brando and Kaitlin were friends in college, but she was engaged to someone else and off-limits to Brando. They never forgot about each other and have a chance meeting in New Orleans years later when both of them are single. I really enjoyed this book. I especially like the interaction between Brando and the Fitzpatrick brothers. Readers get to catch up with the Santini family as well as meet new friends. My only complaint is I wish it was longer! I would have loved to have spent more time in the story of Brando and Kaitlin!

Brando and Kaitlin are some of my new favorite characters in the Santini world that Ms. Schroeder has created. They have this great banter, and it was so obvious that they were friend's first, and I really love friends to lovers stories, and this one was one of the best. Brando, is a great hero, he knows what he wants and he won't let anything deter him, not even Kaitlin's fears. Kaitlin, doesn't take any shenanigan's from Brando, it's obvious she was raised with brothers. She's just the kind of strong woman he needs as a heroine. I found myself laughing and smiling and rooting for them both. This is a great read, that kept me hooked until I finished, and I highly recommend it. I'm also anxiously hoping and awaiting that Kaitlin's brothers get their stories, because they were great secondary characters, as well as Brando's brothers. What can I say, I think I want these books to keep coming out forever. *I received a copy for the purpose of review. I was not compensated for my review.*

In this latest novella in Melissa Schroeder’s long running and well loved Santini series, we have Brando Santini literally running into Kaitlin Fitzpatrick, an old college friend from Maryland. Once a Terp, Always a Terp isn’t just for sports, but the game played by the Santinis better than anyone else … patient and lasting love.  I think Brando might well be my favorite Santini since Papa met Joey; there’s a lot of Uncle Stewart’s patience and fortitude in this Marine.  The solid, dependable love that’s patient and determined is irresistible and the Santinis have that in abundance. I liked Kaitlin very much and her brothers are a hoot, I hope to see more of the Fitzpatrick boys in future books.  Bottom line? Melissa Schroeder delivers another solid entry in this series - even if the title is misleading … no one wants to settle for just one night with a Santini!

Life doesn't often give us second chances. When it does, you need to jump on it. Brando and Kaitlin haven't seen each other since college when she was engaged to someone else. Now that she is free, Brando seizes the opportunity to make her his. This story is sweetly emotional. I want my own Santini man.

Twists, turns and lots of fun.  Ms. Schroeder manages to give each Santini a unique and yet familiar story.  Brando & Kaitlin are no different.   Brando Santini is like the other Santini men in that when he meets “the one” he knows it and can never go back.  Unfortunately his one and only is engaged and he doesn’t poach.  So he leaves his love in college untouched and unapproached other than as a friend and joins the Marines.   Now several years later he literally bumps into her in New Orleans and she isn’t wearing a ring.  Life has handed him a second chance and he is going to make the most of it.  All he has to do is convince Kaitlin of the Santini curse and to give him a chance.

I always love reading about the Santini family! This is a well written story with great characters that are detailed and have great interactions. A past attraction, one night of passion, leads to a lifetime of happiness. An enjoyable book by a talented author that you don't want to miss. Received copy for review.

The Santini men are definitely born to please; handsome, charming and sometimes a little naughty too, they will make you swoon and steal your heart in one fell swoop. But while some of these strong, protective and Alpha males will buck at the thought of being snared by the legendary Santini Curse; Brando Santini can’t wait the be captured by his one true love. The story of Kaitlin Fitzpatrick and Brando’s romance is an enchanting addition to the wonderful library of Santini HEAs.  Just keep`em coming Ms Schroeder; one can never have too many Santinis!!

Another Santini takes the plunge! Brando runs into Kaitlyn in NOLA, literally runs into her, and it was perfect timing. They were study partners in college and he was captivated by her but she was engaged at the time. Brando is happy to find out Kaitlyn didn't marry and since he is moving back to Maryland this is his second chance. Love how circumstances take a twist and both have large families who try to take charge but neither let them. Brando has found a strong woman and it is a good thing because all Santini men need a strong woman to stand up to them! Great series! **Received a copy of this from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review**

Just loved this couple. Brando was so swoon worthy and I loved Kaitlin. Her profession was so caring. Joey Santini and Papa's small part in the book was so funny. Loved it. All her brothers were a hoot. Keep the books coming.
