Kids love to learn big words, and this story has a few impressive ones! Sophia, precocious child, is quite charming and earnest in the pursuit of her One True Desire. The story is lots of fun, full of spunk, and features great illustrations of a diverse cast of characters. Also a great book for teacher's for lesson on teaching how to address your audience in writing.

ONE WORD FROM SOPHIA No exaggeration---Jim Averback has written one of the best picture books I've read in a LONG time! I absolutely LOVE the use of "big word" vocabulary and explains the meanings all in story form. It's brilliant and Yasmeen Ismail's illustrations fit it beautifully. This is a MUST READ, MUST HAVE book!
