5 Star Review of Only For You (Sugar Lake #2) by Melissa Foster This was one of those books that once I started I really did not want to put down. I loved everything about this book, particularly single mum Bridgette Dalton and her sexy neighbour Bodhi Booker. This was a book full of mixed emotions, not least of which is fear. An emotional roller-coaster of a read that had me laughing and crying at times so invested was I in Bridgette and Bodhi’s story. I haven’t read the first book in the series but I enjoyed this one so much that as soon as I finished I went and one clicked and started reading it straight away. Only For You is a heart warming story of hope, courage and overcoming bone deep fear, of love and trusting that the one you love will be there to catch you if you fall. Bodhi was such an amazing character that I freely admit I would like him in my life. The characters were not only well written but totally likeable and easy to relate too. I also felt that the supporting characters were amusing and fun to read about. Ms. Foster wove a tale that kept me captivated from the first page until the last. I will most certainly be keeping my eye out for the next book in the series as I anxiously wait to find out who is next in the series.

When you pick up a book and start to read and within the first few minutes you are laughing and loving the characters already it is a really good sign. I loved this one. Brodhi & Bridgette are so stinking sweet together and throw in a sweet little boy, a dog, and family that not only stick together but offer unconditional support and you have a book you won't want to put down for a second. This one requires some tissues so be prepared... Five stars just aren't enough

I have to say that I hate to cry. This book made me cry, and I loved it so much! I love to think that a broken person can be healed. This story spoke to me so much, because I felt like Bodhi and Bridgette were only able to heal with the help of the other. Bodhi is the type of man I could see myself wanting to take care of, he is the strong silent type, who takes care of everyone but himself. I loved when he started to open up and show his true self. Bridgette is selfless to a fault, which in a way is the perfect match for Bodhi. She is a wonderful mother who has transformed her entire life for her son, so much that she has forgotten to live a little for herself as well. I can wait for the next book in the Sugar Lake series!

Only for You had that little extra something that just had me gushing out everywhere. I won’t call it complete emotional melt down but it was touching in its own ways. Bodhi was the man that never ever left any one behind. He may just have to leave the beautiful single mom and her son behind this time. Bridgette’s life takes a turn when she loses her husband. She makes the decision to return home and family. She made a way for herself and her son. Now it was time for her to have a little fun. Of course, why not have fun with the new sexy stud next door. Bodhi was only in town to fix the home his mother was to retire to. She was his mission at the moment. At least, until the missions he lived for came up again. He was a man that prided himself on his skills and ability to never leave anyone behind. He also never expected to be pulled in to the world of the sexy widow next door and her son. Returning back to Sugar Lake and the quaint surroundings and good characters was enjoyable. The romance was building the relationship between the three was sweet. Watching them grow as more was well worth the short time it took to read it. I was transported to a small town with characters and events that gave me a sense of being right there.

*This ARC was received in exchange for an honest review* This is the story of Bridgette Dalton, a single mum and owner of a flower shop. Bridgette lost her husband and is now bringing up her son, so is to busy with the shop and her son to think about love. Then she spots the next door neighbour sexy Bodhi Booker, who is renovating the house for his mother to move in. It is instant attraction between them both, but one problem, Bodhi is only in town for a couple of weeks and will get deployed out soon, so he does feel that he should get into a relationship as he is not a love em and leave em type. I loved this story by Melissa Foster, how she got Bodhi into reading romance novels, and the way he would be with Bridgetts son, getting him talking on the walkie talkie. I can’t wait to see what Melissa Foster has next in line for the Sugar Lake Series.

I loved getting to know Bridgette and Bodhi.  Foster really is talented so everything she does just keeps you glued to the pages.  Bodhi is a great guy – very honorable (and hot) and has a big heart (and hot) and has a lot of love to give (did I mention, hot?  Inside and out, people!)  He’s chosen to give up having a full life to protect others and he’s darn good at his job.  He has purpose and he’s dedicated to that purpose, without hesitation.  Until he meets Bridgette. Bridgette is a wonderful single mom.  She was a wild child once but after the birth of her son and the death of her husband she did a little growing.  And maybe some suppressing too.  But meeting Bodhi helps her remember a bit more of the girl she used to be and to find a way to fit her into her life now. I’ll be honest, though – I enjoyed the book but nearly as much as The Real Thing.  It’s a good setup and there is no denying that Foster has some serious skills as a writer.  It’s just that it seemed like Bodhi and Bridgette’s story was just a bit too long.  Their only real issue is Bodhi’s job and his not wanting to leave anyone at home worrying about him.  Which is SO understandable … buuut without any other problems there isn’t anything else there to keep things moving so we keep coming back to the same thing – he can only give her now because he can’t promise he’ll be there tomorrow.  It’s difficult and emotional, and it lingers there waiting for us when his time with Bridgette is over.  I felt so bad for them and Foster’s resolution is pretty darn good, but it didn’t help with the sense of waiting for me.  Although maybe that is good too, because it gives you just a taste of what it was like Bridgette and Bodhi? *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s. ***

5 Stars Only for You is the second title in the Sugar Lake series, and is by far my favorite Melissa Foster read for 2017! Bodhi Booker is an alpha with a strong purpose in life. He's former spec ops, and continues his work in the private sector in order to save others from the heartache his family endured. Bodhi is an incredibly endearing, yet enigmatic character who on one hand is a hard and sexy soldier, but he also reads romance, and has a thorough knowledge of flowers and their meanings. Bridgette Dalton is endearing single mother, after the loss of her husband, her young son became her whole world. She runs a flower shop and devotes all her free time to Louie. This pair fight their undeniable attraction and chemistry from the very beginning, they both have fears they need to see past in order to forge happiness and a future together. Only for You is a captivating, emotional, heartfelt story of loss, love and hope. The romance and love scenes in this title are hot, intense and passionate. Overall it's a lovely small town romance and I have come to love the Dalton family, and Sugar Lake and will be eagerly awaiting future titles in this series.

A heartbreaking, sexy and sweet romance! Only For You is another fantastic read in the Sugar Lake series. This is a story full of romance is well written and full of love, humor, steamy heat and a little heartbreak. The plot moves at a good pace with a fresh, new story line that is easy to read. It is captivating and kept my attention to the very end. This is a story that will make you smile and break your heart while mending it in the best way possible. The characters were well developed and easy to like. I thought the dog added a nice touch to this story. I thought it took the hard edge off Bodhi and brought out his caring and loving side even more. Bridgette was easy to relate to and she put her son’s interest above her own. I thought Melissa did a great job of entwining Bodhi and Bridgette’s son together and creating a bond between them. This author knows how to create a story with enough romance and action to keep the reader entertained and interested. Only For You is another book from a very gifted author that I had the pleasure to read. I have not been disappointed yet! Melissa Foster is a very talented author that tells remarkable stories that captivate you and will have you not wanting to put the book down. Definitely, an author that you will want to keep on your go-to list. If you enjoy reading a romance that is entertaining and full of humor, then you will thoroughly enjoy this book. A truly entertaining read.

I feel like every Melissa Foster book I read becomes a favorite of mine. However this one really out did all the other books. In this book we meet Bridgette and Bodhi. Bridgette is a single mom who lives for her son, her family and her flower shop. Bodhi lives a life on the edge as a rescuer in secret missions. Because of this he will not let himself get close to anyone. I absolutely love that they meet and immediately hit it off. Even though neither of them wants to make it serious. That’s what they both say… what they feel however is totally the opposite. I absolutely loved how Bodhi always puts Bridgette’s son first. As a mom that totally won me over, as it did with Bridgette. I also totally fell in love with Bridgette’s son Louie. He is a rambunctious 5 year old who is absolutely adorable. There is such a sweet innocence about him that reminds me so much of my little guys. As with all of Melissa Foster’s books there are many hot and steamy moments. And this book had me anticipating every encounter between these two. I love that Melissa Foster’s books are always filled with real emotions. Emotions that we deal with every day of our lives. So it’s easy to connect with the characters and situations. This book in particular deals with the valid emotions and questions on an adult relationship, especially when one of the parties has a child. As a woman and a mom this book pulled at every single emotion and then some. I have fallen for many leading men however Bodhi really takes the cake! It will be hard to find another one to top him. However I can’t wait to keep reading Melissa Foster’s books and see what she has in store for me.

Give me some sugar please This book is sweetness overload. I think the sweetest book I ever read from Ms. Melissa Foster. Louie will put you too much calories on you. This kid is not only the cutest but cannot help but will melt your heart like snowman in a sunny day. This book is emotional as well beyond the hotness. I loved reading every chapters of this book. Honestly, I do not want it to finish reading the book. Bodhi and Bridgette connection is instant. These two is protective not only with their hearts but emotions as well. They are my new favorite couple of this new series. I am looking forward for the next book of this series.

“She was torture and pleasure, sweet and sinful, and he never wanted to let her go.” “His mouth was like an ocean of heat and desire, and she wanted to sail away to the far reaches of the world and disappear into it.” “You came out of nowhere, and suddenly you’re all that I see.” This book was absolute perfection. Sweet, swoon-worthy with just the right amount of angst. Only For You had me hooked from the very first page. Bridgette and Bodhi were impossible to not fall for. There is nothing I love more than a romance that hits you when you’re least expecting it and it turns your whole world upside down. I admired Bridgette for doing it all on her own and being the best mom she could be to her son Louie. She was hard-working and so loving, but just needed to remember how to live and how to a woman again. Bodhi was just the distraction she needed. The sparks between the two of them were immediate, but Bodhi’s walls were higher than ever. He never wanted to let anyone in and never wanted to make promises he couldn’t keep. However, Bridgette might just be the one to make him break all of his rules….. Only For You was a terrific read from beginning to end. Bodhi and Bridgette’s story captivated me and made me fall in love. I devoured this book in just one sitting and couldn’t help but fall in love with this story. Only For You is incredibly well written and is filled with lots of heart. I loved Bodhi’s rough exterior and seeing him break down his walls. I loved seeing Bridgette come alive again and take a second chance on love. Only For You hit all the marks for me. This story made me laugh. It made me swoon. It pulled at my heart. And most of all, it made me fall in love.

This is book #2, in the Sugar Lake series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding of the series, I recommend reading this great series in order. Bridgette has a lot on her plate. Being a single mom is not east. She has had drama in her past, and she is trying not to make more for her son to have in the future. If only she could resist her neighbor! Bodhi has no intention of giving in to temptation. Just because he is attracted to the sexy Bridgette, does not mean he has to act on it. He knows he cannot offer her a future, so what can you do? This book was full of heat and fun right from the start. I loved that the hero could be more than what he limited himself to be. This was a great example that not all books have to reach for an HEA to give us one. I loved that these characters felt very real and the situations easy to relate to. This series is just so good! ***This early copy was given in echange for an honest review, by Netgalley and its publishers.

4.5 stars This has to be one of my favorite Melissa Foster books ever! Single mom and widow Bridgette is not really looking for a man, until her new temporary neighbor, Bohdi catches her eye and lot more in Only For You. This was a rocky romance for man characters Bohdi and Bridgette. Their love story was sad and real as well as sweet and heart warming. I loved every second of this book. It was all the feels and more! Both because Bridgette and Bohdi has sad back stories and because it helped define their relationship. I loved this book so much!

Only for You is an adorable read with great characters and a wonderful small-town feel. Bridgette Dalton is an independent woman, single-mother, and business owner. She's very busy and doesn't think twice about a guy, until her neighbor, Bodhi Booker, moves in. Just looking at him awakens parts of her that haven't felt anything for years. Bodhi Booker is a private and protective person who works a dangerous job. Bodhi is very cautious about getting into relationships because he never knows when he'll get called into a mission or if he'll make it back alive. At first, Bodhi doesn't seem like an approachable guy. The more time he spends with Bridgette or her son, the more his softer side shows. My favorite parts of this story involve Bodhi interacting with Bridgette's son. He's so good with kids and patient. He has a fatherly touch to him. Bodhi is always willing to put Bridgette's son first and spend time with him. Those moments melted my heart. If only more guys were like Bodhi... I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

4.5 Stars Sweetness and romance abound in Melissa Foster's newest release, Only for You. Book Two in the Sugar Lake Series combines hot-as-sin but sweet as all get out Bodhi with not quite sure if she's ready to take the plunge single mom next door Bridgette. Little Louie steals the show as Bridgette's little boy and he tugs hard on the heartstrings. Melissa Foster wrote Bridgette as being gunshy and maybe to me she was a little too slow to pull the trigger, but Bodhi had me hanging on from the get-go. The story is one of trust and love and Melissa keeps your heart in knots as she works out the intricacies of their romance. As always, family is a big part of Melissa Foster books and Only for You is no different. You'll see a lot of sibling interaction throughout the book and that's what brings me back for more. Of course, the hunky heroes don't hurt either. Another great read from Melissa Foster and I cannot wait to see what she has in store next.

After Bridgette’s husband passed away five years ago she and her baby son Louie returned home to be near her family. She has rebuilt her life and her focus is ensuring that her flower shop is a success and that she is the best mother to her son that she can be but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t get lonely sometimes. Bodhi is in town for two weeks to renovate his mother’s home while he is on leave from his special ops job. He lost his father as a child and has vowed that no one will grieve for him like he did for his father. Bridgette and Bodhi are very attracted to each other so they agree to a “no strings” relationship while he is town which suits both of them. As they spend time together their relationship is no longer the uncomplicated physical interaction they expected but will they be willing to take the chance on being hurt to see what they could have together? I have loved this series and I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next.

4.25 stars-heart warming and passionate 4.25 stars--ONLY FOR YOU is the second instalment in Melissa Foster’s contemporary, adult SUGAR LAKE romance series focusing on the men and women of Sweetwater, New York. This is single mom and florist Bridgette Dalton, and former Special Forces soldier Bodhi Booker’s story line. ONLY FOR YOU can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story line is revealed where necessary. We were first introduced to Bridgette in Wild Boys After Dark: Logan. SUGAR LAKE is a spin off, and interconnected with a number of Melissa Foster’s other series. Told from dual third person perspectives (Bodhi and Bridgette) ONLY FOR YOU follows the building relationship between former Special Forces soldier Bodhi Booker, and single mom/widow/florist Bridgette Dalton. Bodhi Booker doesn’t do relationships but meeting his mother’s future next door neighbor finds our hero in all kinds of trouble as he feels himself pulled into the orbit of single mom Bridgette Dalton, and her five year old son Louie. Only two weeks away from his next ‘military’ training Bodhi struggles with his attraction to Bridgette knowing their time together has a deadline. But the heart wants what the heart wants and Bodhi will soon lose his heart to Bridgette and her five year old son. What ensues is the growing love between Bodhi and Bridgette, and the potential fall out as Bodhi says good bye to the woman he loves. The relationship between Bodhi and Bridgette is temporary; a mutual decision based on previous loss, and potential heartbreak. Bodhi struggled as he watched his mother lose the man that she loved, and our hero refuses to place Bridgette on the slippery slope of a military man’s wife. The $ex scenes are intimate, seductive and passionate (without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text) as Brodhi and Bridgette will fall in love knowing their will be no happily ever after for either one. There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Bridgette’s son Louie, her sisters Piper, Talia, Willow, and Willow’s fiancé Zane (The Real Thing #1), their brother Benjamin, and their parents Roxie and Dan Dalton. WE are introduced to Brodhi’s mother Alisha Booker, his friend Aurelia, his accountant Shira, and Brodhi’s lovable Great Dane Dahlia. Melissa has plans for all of Bridgette’s siblings. ONLY FOR YOU is an emotional story line. As Bodhi heads to places unknown Bridgette knows she may never again see or speak to the man that she loves therefore kissing him goodbye is probably her last. The premise is wonderful and heart warming; the characters are colorful, energetic and fun; the romance is captivating and sensual. Melissa Foster takes the reader through the ups and downs of a small town romance with big city heart !

I've been wanting to read one of Melissa Foster's books for a while now, so when the opportunity arose to take part in the blog tour Only for You, the second book in the Sugar Lake series, I instantly said yes. As it turns out, I'm so glad I did! Only for You is adorable, heartwarming, and most importantly, super high on the steam scale. Only for You introduces the alternating perspectives of Bridgette Dalton and Bodhi Booker. Over the course of Only for You, Bridgette takes on several important roles: supermom, business owner, sister, and daughter. Each role introduced a different side to Bridgette, and I loved seeing them all come together. Bridgette is independent, smart, and savvy. She'll do anything to allow her son to have a nice, happy childhood, even if it means denying herself the possibility of a new boyfriend. I always have such a respect for single moms, and that respect was on high when it came to Bridgette. However, I did wish she'd let loose and allow herself true happiness again, especially when it came to happiness with her hottie neighbor. Thankfully, as the book progressed, Bridgette did let loose and find a new level of happiness; however, she stayed true to who she was and that's what I admired the most. I always love mysterious, gruff, and good-looking heroes, but when you add in romance book lover to those characteristics, my heart is beating frantically! To put it simply, Bodhi was a gem. On the outside, he gives off a tough-as-nails look, but on the inside, he's the ultimate softie. It was heartwarming to see him take on a fatherly role with Bridgette's son, and I especially loved when they'd team up against her. Plus, as mentioned before, I loved that he was a romance book lover. It was such a cute addition to an already lovable lead. The plot in this mainly revolved around Bodhi and Bridgette's romance. I thought Melissa Foster did a fantastic job of building up there romance. It wasn't too quick nor too slow, and more importantly, it felt believable. I also liked that it wasn't perfect. Over the course of the book, Bodhi and Bridgette deal with their own personal issues that hold them back from falling in love again. I thought Melissa did a great job of making those issues realistic yet not too overly dramatic. There were two aspects, however, that held me back from truly loving Only for You. For one, I wish more time had been given to Bodhi's career. It was such an important part of who he was yet little of the plot revolved around it. Even at the end the problems involving it were thrown to the side and fixed almost too easily. Second, sometimes it was hard to keep all the side characters straight. Now this may because I started the series with book 2; however, at first Bridgette's sisters blended together, making it hard sometimes to remember who was who. In all, Only for You is yet another enjoyable romance read! This may be my first book by Melissa but it certainly won't be my last. Grade: B

Only for You is book 2 in the Sugar Lake Book but is can easily be a stand alone. Bodhi Booker is renovating a home for his mom who's moving to Sugar Lake in the very near future. Her new home is next door to young widow Bridgette Dalton and her cute little boy, Louie. Reading along while Bodhi and Bridgette fight their intense attraction had me reminiscing all those old awkward moments when I first met my husband; being tongue tied, caught staring, blushing at inappropriate times.... I completely understood their stance on not wanting to have a relationship. Bodhi isn't going to be in town long and with his job he doesn't want to risk putting someone through what he and his mom experienced when his father passed. Having already experienced loss it's not a journey that Bridgette wants to open herself up to plus she now has to think of Louie. I absolutely love the moments that Bodhi is showing/teaching Louie how to do things around the house. Being a male role model for him. It just made my heart melt. The secondary characters in this book add a lot of humor that for me, made me connect more with the story. Made it more realistic. This was a wonderful fun read that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Bridgette is a widow and single mother who loves her son Louie. She owns a flower shop and speaks the language of flowers and loves nothing more than her small town of Sugar Lake, her home. Bodhi is a special forces rescue worker, who refuses to get attached to anyone, because he knows that at a moments notice he will be called to duty, where his life is at risk.  Bridgette and Bodhi are neighbours temporarily, as Bodhi is renovating a home for his mother. The strong attraction for each other is undeniable and finally they both agree to only live for the here and now. There's no long-term future for them. Foster brings us the tale of 2 strong independent individuals who work hard because people depend on them. These two must learn how to live for themselves, and we get to enjoy how they learn to live for each other because when you meet the one you cannot be without, you start to rethink all those important decisions you made for yourself that just don't make sense anymore.  *An advance copy of this book was provided to me for review purposes only, all opinions expressed are my own*

4.5 “perfect mix of manly and romantic” Stars O-M-G! I hit the perfect book-boyfriend mother lode with Only for You. Bridgette is the widowed mother of a precious 5-year-old boy. After tragically losing her husband when her son was a few months old, her sole focus has been raising her baby with as much family and love around him as possible. When hunky Bhodhi moves in next door, suddenly her body starts reminding her she’s not just a mom, but a woman too. Although doing the hot neighbor wouldn’t be very appropriate… right? Bhodhi just bought his mother a house in a lovely little town and decided to fix it up for her in between missions and training. His life, and the lives of those he goes to rescue, depend on him being focused so getting distracted by his sexy temporary neighbor is not a part of his plans. Bridgette and Bhodhi’s chemistry is too hot to describe, their attraction just too powerful to fight off. Soon, they agree to a no-strings fling for as long as Bhodhi will be fixing the house. He won’t repeat his own family’s history and Bridgette just can’t risk losing a man she loves again. As always, the best-laid plans will blow up in your face, and the more time they spend together, the more unwanted feelings begin to bloom. Bridgette was a great mom, always thinking of her boy’s safety and happiness. I especially enjoyed how dedicated to him she was. She was sweet, funny, caring and put her son before anything else. Bhodhi was too perfect for words. His ex-military past and S&R job meant he was one sexy, alpha, bossy man. It was his sweet side, though, that totally won me over. He was romantic, considerate and it was a total treat to see him fall in love with Bridgette and her little boy. Add to that his proficiency in the sextivities, his handyman abilities and the depth of emotion he showed… and I can admit I’m totally in love myself. One of my favorite parts of Only for You was that we got to witness all the bonding that happened, and how they fell in love and became a family. I loved Bridgette’s family and their craziness, as well as Bhodhi’s mom and friend. My only complaint (if it can even be called that) is that the ending felt a little bit rushed. After all that buildup I would have appreciated a more detailed or fleshed out last couple of chapters… as well as the epilogue. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I adored the epilogue, I just love them more when there are babies. Only for You is a relationship driven, sexy, fun and sweet romance I enjoyed from start to finish and I can’t wait to see what comes next. A new to me author I will definitely be reading more of! *I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book*
