About the Author

Shelly Gail Morris was born in Atlanta, Georgia; even from a young age she had a passion for writing. She attended West Georgia College and married her soul mate, David, a minor league baseball player. His career took her to interesting locations such as Durham, North Carolina, West Pam Beach, Florida, and Greenville, South Carolina, where she loved meeting interesting women from all walks of life.
After four years of being a baseball wife she gave up her peanuts for a normal life, and she and husband settled back in Georgia and had two boys, Keith and Mitchell. Her husband’s job in finance took them to Naperville, IL. The long winters and all the new amazing women she met provided her with immense inspiration. Even today, her good friends look for their names in fictional tales and hope for a great character.
Although she adored her friends in Illinois, the South was always calling her home. After seven years of shoveling snow, the family moved to Nashville, TN, and plan to stay there forever. The rolling hills and mild temperatures bring her peace. Now between basketball games she writes about strong women, summoning their courage and following their hearts. She enjoys walking, working at a day spa and keeping in touch with her girlfriends all over the country.
