Constance DelVecchio Maltese was born in Bushwick on January 25th, 1933, the daughter of Joseph and Else (Hinkel) DelVecchio. Her childhood pastime of drawing quickly blossomed, and Constance became known as the class artist, receiving her first art award in junior high school.
