This book is about a poor Irish family that comes to America to make a better life for themselves. Although hardworking, kind, and generous, the prejudices against them in America create hardships and friction both within their family and outside their family. Working to keep a positive attitude, the family perseveres and works towards strengthening their family relationships, making a better living, and creating friendships.
