"Pan Am and Beyond - Turbulence on the Ground" is entertaining as well as factual. The author takes the reader along to Baghdad, one of the complicated and dangerous Pan Am assignments. The Berlin Pan Am station has many problems on the ground including a former war criminal situated in a senior management position. At New York (JFK) while extending VIP service to the son-in-law of the President of Guatemala who with his diplomatic immunity, has been smuggling heroin through the United States, becomes a problem to be solved. There is suspense and excitement behind the scenes. I also enjoyed the many funny anecdotes.
