Reviewed by Anne-Marie Reynolds for Readers' Favorite Paris Mends Broken Hearts by Kaya Quinsey is a sweet story of life, love, and loss. Gwendoline Delacroix has lost the love of her life. She tries to carry on in her home, her staff do all they can to help her but she has to face facts – she needs to leave so she can get on with her life. She finds herself at a hotel that her brother and sister-in-law run and takes a job at an animal sanctuary to keep herself busy. She makes new friends, an elderly cat adopts her, and she does what she can to prove to everyone, including herself, that life does indeed go on. Paris Mends Broken Hearts by Kaya Quinsey is a lovely short story. It has everything – romance, loss, love, grief, and courage and it is a thoroughly entertaining story from start to finish. The plot is paced out very well and has plenty of action in it from the first page all the way through. It’s a heart-warming story, one that spreads a message of hope for anyone who has loved and lost; there is always a way forward and life really does go on. Ms. Quinsey has developed her characters incredibly well, to the extent that you really get to know them, especially the main protagonist. Kaya Quinsey has produced a story that will stay with you long after you finish reading it and it is the perfect story for anyone who needs that glimmer of hope or anyone who wants a wonderful story to fill an hour or two.
