Overview

With each patchwork quilt, she seeks to heal broken hearts . . .

Rebecca Mills doesn't create her beautiful quilts to keep busy; she needs to make them. Piecing the intricate designs gives her purpose, providing comfort to those who receive them and relieving her deep-seated guilt—if only for a little while.

When her emotionally detached foster brother, Ben Daly, returns to York Harbor, Maine, he reopens old wounds, creating a pattern of pain and bitterness, and reigniting the love Rebecca thought she'd long ago cut from her heart.

But can Rebecca fulfill their foster mother's dying wish, or will the delicate patchwork of her life be torn apart by the painful scars from her past?

About the Author

KAREN COULTERS grew up in the Midwest with roots in New England. Traveling to the coast of Maine every summer was a highlight of Karen’s younger years; so, it only made sense that she move there after graduating. Married in 1982, they relocated to New Hampshire, became a mother of two, and grand-mother. Artistic expression has always been in her DNA. She’s performed on stage as a vocalist, actress, and speaker. She’s a writer of scripts that depict real life in order to make someone think and consider change. However, being a novelist has been her lifelong dream.  She says, “Timing is everything, and my time came in 2017, when the urge to write became something that I could no longer ignore."

KAREN COULTERS is an international, award-winning author of contemporary, romantic fiction. Her debut novel, Hope from Daffodils, achieved two finalist designations for IAN’s Romance & Women’s Fiction International Book of the Year Awards. Karen says the goals of her storytelling writing style are to create authentic characters that cut to the heart and move both her characters and her readers on a pathway toward hope and healing.

Outside of being a novelist, she is a public speaker, and actor, who enjoys reading, piecing together jigsaw puzzles, spending time at the beach, and snuggling with her pup. Karen resides with her husband in New Hampshire and is surrounded by her son and daughter, their spouses, and her granddaughters.
