The four solo-albums from the members of KISS came out as a bit disappointing when they were released back in 1978. This reviewer don´t know exactly why, but at least Paul and Ace´s efforts are really good, as they wrote material that were quite similar to that of KISS. In Paul´s case, we already knew he was an excellent singer and frontman, so he could concentrate on songwriting, which he did with great result on this album. In fact, many of these pop-oriented songs should have been saved for an album like "Unmasked", to help that band-effort appear as a strong one. Anyway, a few highlights on this album are opener "Tonight you belong to me" and ballad "Take me away".
