Purpose: It is an extremely useful procedural manual for practitioners caring for children.
Audience: It is intended for nurses providing care to children, but it also is an excellent resource for nursing students and unlicensed assistive personnel caring for children.
Features: The book covers a variety of skills useful in many pediatric care settings. Chapters are well organized with key points presented in bulleted or table formats. Clinical guidelines, equipment needs, and educational suggestions are components of each chapter. Each chapter also addresses unexpected situations that may occur.
Assessment: This is an excellent resource for pediatric procedures. In the dynamic environment of healthcare, this updated edition is well appreciated.
