The story started off a little slow (just the first few pages). But overall I enjoyed it. Great for a quick read and not totally predictable. For a free ebook, I would definitely recommend...

I thought this was a great book!! It was short, but this book had me hooked right from the beging!! I would recomend this book to anyone who likes crime stories. Can't wait to read other books!!

The story was good but anyone who reads crime novels on a regular basis will see the mistakes in her "perfect" crime as she makes them. Only 50 pages but pretty good for a free book.

The story gets very intense and keeps the suspense throughout its 50 pages.

Predictable,very short book. If your an avid mystery suspense reader you will figure out the ending and all the flaws in the main characters thinking.

I really liked this. Since I'm familiar with all the locations mentioned, it was an added bonus.

I liked the basic idea, but the characterization for the main character was barely visible. She talks about why she does what she does, but we never actually see the depth of anger and hurt she obviously feels. And also, the ending is a little too abrupt. It does not lead up to it at all, and though it was a good idea, overall it was poorly planned.

Very very short story

Good book only took me a hour to read and only like 50 pgs but you should get it! The suprising part about it is that it is free! Its a shortstory and a quick read. Really enjoyed it!

Im only twelve in seventh grade and i think its a good book even if it doesnt have the best words in it. Just saying.

The Perfect Crime is the second short story I have read by Jack Erickson (the first being The Stalker) and I was not disappointed. The author has a remarkable gift for taking a small narrative and turning it into an exciting page turner. While the story is only about 20 pages in length, the author portrays the essence of the characters and engages the reader in a stimulating account of murder, turmoil, and mystery. The Perfect Crime, written in first person by the main character, delves into what happens to a woman scorned and how she chose to handle her angst against a philandering husband. I was very impressed with The Perfect Crime. It takes a lot of talent to take a small chronicle and expand on the story so the reader is not left with many questions. The reader does not get a lot of information on the background of the characters. However, I have to say that the lack of extraneous information made the story more enjoyable. The author captured the emotions of the characters perfectly, and I could experience Mrs. Harding’s point of view through the author’s writing. I was impressed by the final and surprising twist. Mr. Erickson has a talent for taking what could be a long, drawn out novel into a succinct and intriguing mystery that needs no further explanation. I recommend this novella and am looking forward to reading more from the author.

This was a huge waste of my 20 minutes.It is appr. 50 pages long.It reminded me of a short story someone in high school would write.The ending was just plain out dumb!

excellent but to short

I enjoyed the story and it had a nice little twist at the end. It bothers me that all reviews made available are 4 or 5 stars, but the overall score is only 3 stars. I have noticed people use the reviews as a way to communicate with each other and have nothing to say about the stories they're allegedly reviewing. Personally, I like to read negative reviews before buying a book. Sometimes their reasons are inane, but other times they have criticisms I find helpful. I hate bad edits, but this author did a thorough job in that regard and you won't be grinding your teeth over grammatical or syntax errors or rereading the same sentence over and over trying to figure out what he means. The author is a very competent writer. The only reason I did not give it five stars would give away too much information and I will not spoil it for you. It's a little longer than the typical short story but too short to be a novella. That is one of the things I really liked. It was a really good length.

Enjoyed
