Person of Interest by Emery Harper was an enjoyable mystery with a great cast of characters. Celeste is smart and funny and way in over her head when she becomes a "person of interest" in the murder of her boss. Detective Shaw Muldoon is handsome and a "by the book" policeman assigned to the case. Although the sparks fly between them, there is the small matter of her being an integral part of the investigation. The plot was smoothly paced and the characters were all likable and well developed. I loved her best friend, Levi, and her daughter, Paige. They provided some laugh out loud banter as well as insight into Celeste. The plot twists and red herrings kept me guessing until the reveal. I look forward to reading another in this series so that I can spend more time with all of them. I received an eARC from Carina Press via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Loved this story! Single mom and prep school teacher, Celeste Eagan adds amateur sleuth to her resume when her creepy boss turns up dead and her ex-husband becomes a suspect when it appears he and his ditzy girlfriend goes missing. Celeste becomes a Person of Interest when she attempts to do some sleuthing on her own and her laugh out loud escapades drive Hottie Detective Shaw Muldoon crazy. Celeste is not sure if he wants to kiss her or arrest her. Maybe both. Emery Harper has a winning series with her believable characters, fast moving plot, and a great story. Her next one is definitely on my to-be-read list.

This is a great book; this book this the first book in the Celeste Eagan Mystery series written by Emery Harper. Celeste Eagan is a single mom and a prep school drama teacher at Peytonville Prep school. When she finds her boss hanging in his office and it turns out to be murder instead of a suicide. When Celeste’s ex suddenly disappears she decides to put her sleuthing skills to the test to find out what is really going on. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

This first in a new series is terrific. Celeste Eagan is a theater teacher at a prep school and works with her ex-husband and his new girlfriend. It seems Celeste can't escape from the drama and when her ex asks her to approach the principal on his girlfriend's behalf, Celeste sees no easy way to deny the favor. Unfortunately for Celeste things go from bad to worse when she finds the principal dead in his office. Celeste can't believe Chad is dead and even worse that the hunky detective thinks she is a person of interest. This book offered plenty of plot twists and the characters were all likeable. The author wove a wonderful story filled with mystery, romance and intrigue. I will be looking for more in this series. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my fair and honest review.
