I think this is a great book for people just getting started out on their own without the shelter of parents. This book will teach how to avoid money problems. It teaches to plan ahead, reduce your spending, and how to make and follow a budget. Gives you a list of items to purchase used to save money. It gives rules for personal finance, common financial goals, and steps toward freedom from debt and assures us that by following the books instructions you too can be better at money management.

This was a great refresher or reminder on managing your money that was taught back in High School. It was easy to follow, understand, and flowed really well. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and plan on tweaking my financial goals thanks to this book’s guidelines. I really enjoyed how simplified difficult topics were explained and samples given throughout the book. I would especially recommend this book to everyone, not just high school or college students starting their careers.

There are many times in life that we need a budget, whether you are just starting out,  getting married or getting ready to retire. Or even somewhere in between. You most likely need a budget. The book asks you to list all money that comes in. Then list every expense and they mean EVERY. Without every expense listed it is impossible to see what areas can be cut from.   The book shows various ways to cut your spending. It tells what areas that you should have a budget for, such as emergencies,  car repairs and medical.

This book brought some good insights for me since having a small business that I want to be able to separate from my personal finances. I am terrible with saving and I love to shop...I mean I really love to shop! Now that I have a child, I wanted to be able to save more money and spend less. This book definitely provided good lines on how to gain control of your monies, have ways to save and manage your money. Be in control of it! Definitely recommend this book.

This step by step money management book should be required reading for young people starting out. It would also be great for anyone who needs a refresher course or a place to get started. It provides guidelines on how to track your money, set up a budget and helping you save for emergencies. It explains the different kinds of debt and credit scores. It will help you get on track and start planning ahead for your future. A great beginning point.

Good advice in this book. I think that its interesting how it could take so little time to see results when you look at the graph and just how to start saving. Great advice on having a 3 month emergency fund set aside just in case. I didn't feel overwhelmed with a long boring set of rule, good practical and even interesting.

This book had good advice for people in different age groups. It emphasized the importance of saving money early and avoiding debt altogether or ways to avoid overly high expenses. This may be frustrating to people who have not had the opportunity not to get into these situations and need to get out of debt.

Finance is usually a dry, boring subject, but somehow these 100+ pages flew by as quickly as a nonfiction book, yet I feel much more secure and knowledgeable having read them. If you're scared of budgeting, being in debt, retiring or falling asleep learning about them, this book will definitely help!

I love this book, but I  love to save money which isnt hard too do, if you brought up in a family that is always struggling for money. This  book is so easy to read and understand. It teaches practical easy steps to learn how to spot where too much money is being spent, then  teaches you how to budget that money so you can save money and feel free from money debt, which can cause so many people to'  become depressed and live very a unhappy life. Once you start to read, it is like being hit on the head with a hammer, why didnt' see  that or wow it wont be that hard to do as long as I can see the long term picture and in the long run have money in the bank. A  most read

Personal Finance Simplified is just like the title says: very simple. It is a crash course for anyone who wants to begin managing their finances by keeping a simple budget of income and expenses.  The methods introduced in the book are easy and can (and should) be implemented by anyone right away. Anyone who wants to begin to track and get a handle of their personal finances should read this book.  This book is just the beginning, though, and further reading will be necessary. Lots of references are provided at the end of the book.

This book is a very unexpected five star rated read. Finance is boring, plain and simple, yet this book makes it fun to read about. The facts are presented in such a way that it makes reading this an enjoyable experience, and turns a difficult subject into a page turner. Recommended to anyone who has their own finances to worry about.

I thought that this book started out as a slow read but did get better as you continued with it.  This book is great for anyone that wants to learn more on how to make the most out of their income.  It's basically finance 101 and should be a must read for any young adult who is out on their own for the very first time.  It talks about budgeting, how to tame down your spending, and getting the most out of your income.  The part I like the most was talking about a rainy day or an emergency fund.  So if you are interested in making your income work for you then this is the book.

Personal Finance book was OK to read, I'm not all that interested in books like these because sometimes they are hard to read and understand in my area but i found it easy to read so i was happy about that. Its a good lesson on how to keep track of your money so you don't blow it all on silly things and it teaches you ways to save up and manage your debt. This is great for people who want to start up something nice such as a business or own a new house or just about anything. A lot of people now a days don't know how to manage there money then something bad happens and they end up getting stuck into something and not knowing how to get themselves out of so this book is perfect.

This is a useful little book ideal for people who want to cut down on costs. The book helps you step back and examine your spending habits, evaluate your lifestyle, assess how much of it you want to maintain, and change the aspects you don’t like. This book is all about the practical side of things—no useless theory involved. If you want a short read that will help keep your spending habits in check, this is the book for you.

You know where your money is coming from but do you know where it's going? This book helps you create a realistic budget from what is going in and coming out. You get a hard look at what happens to your money and understand where you need to make some cuts. It helps you understand your financial situation now and better it for the future.

This book outlines a gentle approach to understanding your money. Emphasis on taking a look at your money so you know where it is coming from and where it’s going is the focus in the beginning. Following this is making good debt choices and looking at investments. Finally making sure that you are protecting your wealth and even an overview of necessary insurances cap off this informative book that I am happy to recommend to my college age sister.
