Reimagining the "urban sprawl," Fischli tessellates assorted images of cities into a dizzying grid

For his first major solo exhibition in China, Peter Fischli (born 1952) creates a spiraling floor pattern made of city photos from an unknown source. Fischli decided to turn what would be an ordinary exhibition catalog into an artist's book, offering an uncanny yet curious view of city life.
