"Using the backdrop of the poem "Phenomenal Woman" by Maya Angelou, I explore topics we as women typically struggle with or conquer once we put some life experience on it. I strive to encourage and empower the reader using stories, testimonies, and the word of God to highlight the wonderfully and fearfully that is on the inside of each of us. My shine along with the SHINE of some phenomenal wives, mothers, daughters, sisters and friends come together to illuminate the path of other women and their shine. Shine is the Special Happening Inside Nobody Else and it is unique to every woman. The moment you embrace the SHINE and acknowledge the giver of the SHINE, God can get the glory and the fruit out of our lives. Don't let anyone diminish that light. No matter what. Dagne Barton is a wife, mother, daughter, sister and LifeChanger to all she meets. She is happily married to Isadore Barton, Jr., and they live in O'Fallon, Illinois. She successfully raised one son, Charles Coleman Joy; is a mom by marriage to Carmen, Ron, Teil, Cameron, Cayelon and Cayla Barton; GrandDaggy to Jace, Rae, and Brice. She is the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Bishop at New Life in Christ Interdenominational Church where they endeavor to make disciples and change lives in their lifetime. She is a mentor to two young women through Project Graduation as well as two others outside of the program. She is the founder of ValUAdded Consulting for the development of support staff and administrative professionals; marketing solutions for organizations and new businesses and motivational speaking. She is a graduate of Austin Peay State University with a BA in Business Administration and Webster University with a Masters in Non Profit Leadership. Dagne is a proud member Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated. She has dedicated her life to her family and her ministry calling to grow the kingdom through the gift of administration. She enjoys traveling and laughing a great deep laugh often in her spare time. She is a published author and Phenomenal Woman...Gurl That's U! is her first book.
