Phoebe Saves George Washington

During the Revolutionary War, Samuel Fraunces, the owner of a tavern, overhears a plot to kill George Washington. So, on Washington's next visit to the area, Samuel sends his daughter, Phoebe, to act as a housekeeper for Washington while making sure that no one harms him. At the end of Washington's visit, Phoebe manages to figure out the identity of his would-be killer just in time to save Washington's life.
