Picture Memories: Understanding Dementia

After her son, a young man with Down syndrome, was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s, Sherri Henderson wrote a short story to explain to him and his friends what this diagnosis meant, what to expect, and what it meant to them. After being encouraged by doctors to make the story available to all, Sherri worked with an illustrator and this book is the result of their work.
