The role of a multicultural children’s book is to help children understand the differences, and similarities among one another. This can promote equality among children. In my book, Pigtails, all the girls are represented from different cultural backgrounds. Although they are all different, what they share in common is that they all have a similar hair style that girls' all over the world can relate to
