I really love this author's work, I have almost all her books. This is good story, but I felt she left some unanswered questions. What happened to the big guy's son? Did that woman come to the game? Also like some details were left out. Just small stuff, but enough to notice them. Otherwise the story was steamy, funny, some conflict, and just plain good!****

Loved this new Lani Lynn Vale story about Hancock and Sway. Interested in where this series goes. Love how hot and alpha Hancock is, even with all those superstitious routines. Curious to see if there will be another series featuring the men under Hancock's godfather, Leslie. If you like Lani Lynn Vale books, you'll love this one.

Began skipping pages by chapter 3. At times boring dialogue. Cardboard characters.

Not worth the time:(

Good author and good characters. The why a professional ball player would steal stuff makes the plot a little weird but I enjoyed the story enough to stay up half the night to read it! That says a lot.

Absolutely, love this cover it couldn't be any more perfect! I always fall in love with Lani Lynn Vale's characters and Pitch Please was no different. Her writing is addictive and you become attracted to not only the two main characters but all of the supporting characters as well. Hancock "Parts" Peters is complete Alpha on and off the field, he does what he wants and nothing else & nobody questions that because he is the starting catcher and all-star of the team! Underneath it all, he is just a good southern boy with a dirty mouth! Sway Coffman is the athletic trainer who has baseball in her blood. She is confident and innocent all wrapped up in the perfect curvy package. I love how they had an instant connection but it builds over a quick friendship, their relationship doesn't seem rushed it just seems real...even if it only took them 2 weeks to form an everlasting bond! Pitch Please was a great start to what I assume will be another standout series by Lani Lynn Vale! I can't wait to see who story will be revealed next...Connor's (fingers crossed)! Oh yeah, and I am hoping that Hannibal has a story coming! Favorite Quotes: "As long as you're with me, baby, I can handle just about anything."

I really like Lani Lynn Vale’s books especially since I can get a new one in every moth but her phenomenal characters and intense, fast paced stories sell themselves anyway. So you can picture my glee when I found out that in September there are going to be not one but two new releases. I was pretty stoked. So this story is sport romance, which is a new area for the author. Usually she works with everyday heroes or various military personas so I was really excited how she will do with the famous athlete card. It was a pretty good start with sport romance but not the best I ever read. However my problem with the story wasn’t really the sport part but more like the lack of excitement in it. The premise of the book is pretty interesting especially since I love the whole woman trying to get her footing in a male dominated world, which Sway being an athletic trainer for a pro baseball team, fits the profile. This part of the story I absolutely loved and I liked the characters quite well too but the story overall was just mediocre for me. I don’t exactly know why but I didn’t love it. First of all, things start out quite fast and smooth which I liked. The whole relationship parts forms so easily and effortlessly that it’s a delight to read, sometimes I just need an easy romance without struggles and extra drama to it. The chemistry is pretty great there and I really like how the whole professional sport world is presented but there are thing in the story which are quite out of place. One of those things was the whole balck-ops mission element, which is not just unbelievable but really unrealistic as well. I also wasn’t quite satisfied the way how the other conflict point, alas the whole coworker conflict is handled, it’s too low key compared to the buildup it gets. Sway is a honest, hard working, vibrant, caring and easy to like character. Maybe she is a bit inexperienced when it comes to relationships but she is a quick learner. The only thing that I didn’t like about her is body image issues, namely the amount of time she spends obsessing with others opinion about her body. In my opinion if you like your body and comfortable in it then you don’t care this much what others think. Hancock knows what he wants and goes in full force to get it. He is quite rude and ill-mannered when you get on his wrong side and you definitely don’t want to mess with his superstitions. He has a strong bond with his family and a heavy attraction towards Sway. They are really great and cute together; they don’t struggle when it comes to everyday life in a relationship and get into a routine easily. I really liked the secondary characters too. Another thing why I love Lani Lynn Vale’s books is because of the phenomenal families and bonds she creates which leads to amazing and funny secondary characters. And I think I see a series coming about not just the other players in this story but about Hannibal and his team too. I wanted to love this book but the plot fell a little bit short for me in terms of intensity and action. Otherwise a great start to a new series and I’m really curious about the next books. P.S. I love epilogues but this story’s just disappointed me.

Hancock As a person who has never really been a fan of sports romances I must say that the incomparable Lani has definitely changed my mind in that aspect. Pitch please was so much more than I could have anticipated and I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Hancock is alpha to the core and all he wants to do is play baseball without any distractions like the media, endorsements or any of the matter. Enter Sway a woman who worked hard and landed her dream job of trainer of Hancock's team the Texas Lumberjacks. One look and telling her to get out his seat has Hancock hooked too bad Sway has a hard time talking to him. Being the alpha that he is he won't rest until he has what he wants and that's Sway any way he can get her which is hopefully underneath him. I devoured this book and can't wait to see what's up her sleeve next

I had high hopes until the middle of the book and then it vered of course. It was very predictable and repetitive. Easy read though.
