CHAPTER 1

Daniel Tanner was a man who knew what he wanted, and what he wanted most lay naked on his bed, quivering in the aftermath of her second orgasm. The first two he'd given freely. The third, she'd have to work for.

Her taste lingered in his mouth, a mixture of woman, honey, and sex. He resisted the urge to lean down and taste her again. Instead his gaze swept over her body, taking in the swollen breasts, their dusky-pink nipples puckered into tight beads. Her chest rose and fell in unison with her long, hard puffs, and her toned, shapely thighs were spread in invitation. The damp cleft between her legs glistened, and Daniel thought he might well have a heart attack if he didn't fuck her soon.

He ran a finger over her engorged clit, and her hips bucked.

"Daniel ..."

Her gaze locked with his as he brought his finger to his mouth and licked. Green eyes turned hazy with desire, and she moaned out loud.

He raked his fingers lightly over her breasts.

"Daniel, please." She pushed her chest up, begging for more. Color tinged her cheeks, she twisted the sheets with her fists, and her hair spilled over the pillow in a tangled cloud. She'd never looked sexier.

Emotion washed through him, so powerful he shook. He'd fantasized about this moment forever and could hardly believe it was finally happening.

"Yeah, babe?" He knew what she wanted but still waited for her to beg.

"Oh ..." Frustration flashed across her face, and he couldn't repress his slow, satisfied smile. She was in no state to talk, not after what he'd just done to her. He'd give her another minute. Watching her writhe was almost as arousing as watching her come.

"Please," she said again and moaned.

"What do you want?" he whispered.

"You."

"Show me."

She whimpered and twisted the sheets again. With a strangled cry, she brought her hands up and cupped her breasts. Her fingers worked desperately at the taut peaks, pinching and kneading until she moaned aloud.

Blood shot to Daniel's cock. A muffled groan caught in his throat, and he rasped, "How does that feel?"

"So ... good." The tip of her tongue touched her lower lip.

His heart heaved, and his body went into overdrive. "Hey, sweetheart." He drew his finger through her slick folds. She looked at him with pupils so dilated the emerald irises were barely visible. "You want more?"

She gave a vague nod.

"Want my finger?" He dipped it inside, and she jerked against his hand.

She shook her head.

"How about if I kiss you again?" He leaned down and licked her, replacing his finger with his tongue.

She shivered.

"No." Her voice drifted from a million miles away.

"So what is it you want?" He licked her again and then again because, quite frankly, she tasted too good to stop.

"You," she moaned. "I want you."

"How?" She was so wet, so hot.

"Daniel ..."

"Tell me how you want me." He tongued her again.

Her hands left her breasts and wound through his hair, tugging until the mild sting forced his head up. She pulled him into position so he lay on top of her, his face inches from hers.

Their eyes met.

Could she see what she did to him? Was the raw emotion gripping his gut visible to her? She knew everything about him. Was it possible she didn't know he loved her?

Full breasts pressed into his chest, her nipples hard against his bare skin. She shifted her legs an inch so he slid between her thighs. The tip of his cock brushed her slit, and he bit the inside of his cheek, praying the pain would dampen his urgency.

Pulling his face down, she opened her lips under his and kissed him. The deep, thorough movement of her mouth inflamed him until he blazed with hunger and need.

He had to have her — possess her — so she could know, once and for all, she was his.

"Tell me what you want, babe." Whatever it was, he'd give it to her.

"You." She kissed him again, her mouth warm and intoxicating. "I want you" — she sucked on his lip and then bit it — "to make love to me."

Exquisite pain shot from his mouth to his groin. He barely had time to register it before she shimmied her hips and raked her fingernails down his back.

"Now."

Daniel was pretty sure she drew blood, but he didn't give a damn. The only thing he cared about was burying himself inside her hot, wet core. He edged the tip of his cock in and groaned in pleasure.

"Now, Danny." There was a frantic quality to her voice. She spread her legs wider and took him in deeper. "Do it."

His restraint fractured. With a skilled, desperate thrust, he filled her.

"Yes."

Nothing in his life had ever felt this good or this right. This was where he belonged.

Moving slowly, he slid all the way out and then back in again. Twice. Three times. Then out. He stopped. Just to prolong the sweet agony of it all.

She writhed beneath him.

He held himself still, his weight resting on his lower arms. His muscles corded and tensed as he watched her. Sweat beaded on his forehead and behind his shoulders.

"Daniel ... please." Her hand sneaked between their hips. It pressed against him, circled his dick and then moved on to caress his balls.

He groaned out loud and lost it altogether. Grinding his pelvis into hers, he buried himself so deep in her hot body he had to grit his teeth to stop from coming. Unable to suppress his need for her, he pulled out and plunged into her again and again, in long, deep movements.

Meeting him thrust for thrust, she wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist, opening herself up to him.

Gratified, he moved harder, faster, relishing her excited moans.

The feel of her, hot and tight and wet, encasing him in her velvety depths, the friction against his rigid cock ... it was all too incredible. His body moved of its own accord, faster, faster, harder, harder, until her muscles clamped down violently and she screamed his name as spasm after spasm rocked her body.

He gave one last mighty thrust. His balls tightened, and his body stilled. Pleasure slammed through him.

"I love you, Amy!" Daniel came, his climax potent as he emptied himself into her shivering depth. Again and again, he shuddered as the last drops of come drained from his body.

Finally. He'd finally branded her. She was his. There was no way she was getting away from him now.

Daniel shuddered one last time, collapsed on top of her, and woke up.

For several minutes, he lay still, panting on his bed — alone.

"God damn it." He curled his fingers into frustrated fists and pounded the bed. "Damn it!"

It was only Tuesday, and he'd had the dream twice this week. How much more torture did one man have to endure? Enough already. He wanted the real thing. All this dreaming about fucking Amy was doing his head in.

It was the damn assignment he'd been working on. The photo shoot made him face issues he wasn't ready to face and think about things he'd long since suppressed.

A primal growl sounded deep in his throat. The images from the dream still reverberated through his head, leaving him aroused and uncomfortable. He was hard and hurting, and there was only one thing — one woman — who could take away the pain.

She just didn't know it.

Daniel threw off the sheets, marched into the bathroom, and turned on the shower. He adjusted the temperature and pressure until burning streams of water jettisoned over his knotted back and shoulders.

He'd always loved her. At fourteen years of age, Daniel had lost his heart forever. He'd taken one look at the beautiful adolescent girl and known one day in the future, they'd be together.

But teenagers didn't make lifelong commitments. Hell, they could barely cope with month-long commitments. So Daniel had done the next best thing. He'd committed to being Amy's friend. And for the last seventeen years, she'd been his best mate, his confidante, and secretly, his greatest love.

Good sex and short flings with other women had fulfilled every desire, every need he'd had. But now everything was different. Now Amy was the only one he wanted. He just had to prove it to her.

Daniel scrubbed his body clean, praying the lingering arousal brought on by the dream would be washed away with the soapy water. He didn't hold much hope. All he needed to do was think about Amy and he'd be hard again.

It was time to take their friendship to a new level — a more meaningful one. His recent photo shoot at the pediatric cancer ward had taught him life was too short to screw around. If he wanted something, he had to chase it, grab it, and hold on for all he was worth. And Daniel wanted Amy. It was time to act on the feelings he'd developed as a teenager. Only he intended to turn them into very adult actions.

There was one problem.

Convincing Amy to fall in love with him was going to be the most difficult — and most important — task he'd ever undertaken. He couldn't fail.

She was too comfortable in their friendship and too freaked out by men in general to consider him anything more than her best mate. Her beliefs that significant others neither stuck around nor valued commitment were cemented by personal experience. Since Simon the asshole had cheated on her, she'd lost trust in men in general. Not surprising really, since Simon's behavior mirrored her father's actions of several years before.

Though Amy trusted Daniel with her life, her conviction in his inability to commit meant she'd never trust him with her heart.

How could he explain that the last three months had changed him? That memories he'd put aside decades ago, traumatic issues he'd sorted out as a boy, had come careening back, devastating him with their clarity?

Daniel switched off the shower and dried himself before grabbing his phone. He dialed his sister and, without preamble, launched into conversation when she picked up. "Hey, Lex. Remember our conversation a few days ago? About Amy?"

"Mmm-hmm," came Lexi's sleepy response. "How could I forget?"

"I'm ready to put my plan into action."

"You are?" Her voice was alert now.

"Yep. Are you?"

"I'll need a little time. Can you give me a week?"

"I'll give you two. Maybe we can make it coincide with your birthday?"

Daniel could almost see her nod as she answered. "Good idea."

"Great. Now, one thing. Don't tell Mum. You know her. She'll be arranging a wedding before you've even put the phone down."

"Can I at least tell Sarah?"

Daniel blanched at the thought of letting their older sister in on their plans. "Hell, no. She'll pack up Ben's old cot and entire baby wardrobe and deposit them all at my flat by sunset."

Lexi laughed before her tone became serious. "You sure you're ready for this, Danno? We both know your plan could backfire."

A muscle worked in his jaw. If his plan was successful, Amy would be his best friend and lover. If it failed, she could wind up being neither.

The thought made him sick to his stomach.

"I'm sure." He'd never been more ready for anything in his life.

There was a moment of silence before Lexi said, "Right. Let's stop wasting time. We have a seduction to plan, and I intend to see it through to the end."

The tension in his ribs eased. He even managed to smile. "I appreciate your help, Lex. But if this ends the way I intend it to, you definitely won't be there to see it."

Lexi snorted. "Can I at least be a bridesmaid?"

"Now you sound like Mum and Sarah. Get out of bed. It's time to go to the hospital. You have work to do."

Daniel heard the grin in Lexi's voice. "Yes, I do. And for a change, it has nothing to do with sick children."

He said good-bye with a smile and severed the connection. With the help of his sister, Daniel was about to change his own future and that of his best friend's, the woman he loved, irrevocably.

"Hold on tight, Amy Morgan. You're in for the ride of your life."

CHAPTER 2

Daniel sat at a café table on the Tamarama beachside promenade in Sydney. Ever aware of the possibility of a good photograph, he scanned his surroundings with a practiced eye. On the steep concrete driveway leading down from the road, he hit pay dirt. His heart beat a little faster, and his body tightened in anticipation.

She was stunning. He caught a glimpse of a shapely leg between her skirt and the long black boots of her professionally matched outfit. But it was the high, round breasts and fuck-me curves that really grabbed his attention.

Long, straight hair streamed behind her in the breeze, the glare from the winter sun tinting it a coppery brown. Sunglasses perched on a small button nose hid her eyes. Full lips moved seductively as she spoke into her mobile phone.

His groin stirred.

He lifted his ever-present camera as his photographer's instincts took over and zoomed in, focusing on her flawless skin. He waited until she faced him before he took the photograph. Several more were taken in quick succession, capturing her startled look first, then her annoyance, then finally determination, highlighted by the purse of her lips and set of her jaw.

She was pissed off.

He watched through his Nikon as she ended her call and marched toward him. Her proximity blurred the image, forcing him to lower the camera. She was close enough now that the scent of vanilla, fresh and subtle, hit his nose.

"Did you take a photo of me?" Her voice was soft, sexy, and irritated.

His smile was an unabashed attempt to disarm her. "I did." Her perfume wafted around him, through him, and he had to adjust his position as his jeans stretched taut around his growing erection.

She pulled a chair out from the table and sat. "It didn't occur to you to ask my permission?"

"Nope." He leaned forward an inch, loath to lose her scent.

"Do you think that's fair?"

"Yup. With those looks, you should be a model." She was any photographer's dream subject. He could think of a few choice poses he'd film her in. None of them included clothes.

"I don't like having my picture taken. Please put the camera away."

"Sorry," he said in the nicest possible way. "Can't do that." All he'd caught on camera was her face. He wanted the body, too. And the legs — the endlessly long legs in those foxy, high-heeled boots. Legs he'd like wrapped around his waist as they made love. She could leave the boots on — everything else would have to come off.

"C'mon, Dan. You know how uncomfortable I get. Put the camera down and let's have lunch."

"Morgan," he said, addressing her by her last name as he always did, "your face was made for a camera. Don't you think it's time you accepted I'm never going to stop?"

"I think you take advantage of the fact I'm your best friend and as such won't scream at you."

He laughed even as his lips itched to taste her full-mouthed pout. "Yeah, right. You never scream, or lecture, or tell me when I'm doing something you don't like."

"Okay, so maybe I scream at you every now and again, but it's not as if you listen anyway."

A waitress delivered their food, interrupting their conversation. "Hope you don't mind," he told Amy, "but you said you were in a hurry, so I ordered for us."

The waitress leaned over, offering Daniel an impressive view of her cleavage and a suggestive grin. He merely smiled and directed his attention back to his friend. Once upon a time, he would have accepted the invitation. Not now.

"Thanks," Amy answered as she watched the waitress strut off. She looked at him with a bemused smile. "I still get a kick out of watching women try to pick you up."

"What can I say? I'm a good-looking guy. Everyone wants a piece of me." He chuckled. Everyone except you.

She bit into her bruschetta and a look of ecstasy flitted across her face. "Mmm ... my favorite."

For a full five seconds, he was winded. She'd worn that exact look in his dream last night. He tucked into his own meal, hoping the bread and soup would satisfy the hunger gnawing away at him. His cock was so hard it hurt.

He cleared his throat. "Do me a favor?"

"Name it."

He lifted his camera. "Stand there against the railing and watch the surfers for a couple of minutes." He was taking a chance, but it was worth it if he could get a shot of her from behind. She had a great ass — round and tight.

"You're impossible."

"You'll do it anyway?" He flashed a smile, one he knew she couldn't say no to.

Instead of complying, however, she ignored him and sipped her latte. "How was the last day of your shoot at the hospital?"

"You're changing the subject."

"Your lunch is getting cold. And your dimples don't work on me, so lose the smile. Besides, I have to be back at the office in forty-five minutes, so it doesn't give us much time."

If you've read my reviews before, then you know that I've got so much love for Jess Dee's writing talents. She's just one of those authors I know I can pick up their book and love every moment of the journey. She has never disappointed me, and this re-release of her book previously titled Photo Opportunity is no exception. It was emotional and sexy and just everything I love to read, so I can't recommend it enough. So let's talk about Planned Seduction... Daniel Tanner has been in love with Amy forever but he's decided that now is the time to finally final on those feelings after some deep self-reflection. All Amy has seen is a parade of women going through his life and she isn't interested in being one of his many conquests despite his attempts to convince her otherwise. Little does she know, he is determined to prove her that he can be the only man that she needs. For as emotional as this story was at times, it was seriously sexy too. The sexual tension between these two is intense, but I think it had just the perfect mix and I simply adored these characters. Daniel had a vulnerability to him that I found vastly appealing, and poor Amy...well she tried to resist him in earnest, but his charm was just too much in the end for her and I could totally see why. Overall, I think this is a great read and who doesn't just love a great friends to lovers book?

3.5 Stars Planned Seduction is a good spin on a classic friends to lovers troupe. It features Daniel and Amy as best friends that become lovers. Daniel has had feelings feelings for Amy and is ready to give up his playboy life for a relationship with her. He creates a plan to win her over, but must overcome his own history and her lack of trust to find happiness. This is a sexy, well written book that had an awesome hero. It was hard to connect with the heroine, but eventually she won me over too. I was given a free copy for an honest review.

Fun and sexy story about best friends becoming lovers! I loved Daniel's approach in theory, but I think things might have been easier if he would have slowly clued Amy in about his feelings. I was a bit disappointed in Amy's lack of trust in Daniel, but it was pretty obvious what her reaction was going to be. What these two might have lacked in communication, they made up for with chemistry! Overall, it was an entertaining read - perfect for an afternoon. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.

Daniel & Amy have been best friends for the better part of two decades. Daniel is ready for the next level of this relationship. He has a plan. Now to play it out. Amy has trust issues from her past that she cannot seem to get beyond. She already trusts Daniel though, right? Their attraction is heating up. To take a chance and find happiness.... or walk away for good? Seriously HOT read! I loved the moments between the main characters. The genuine love of a bet friend is real and can become more. I am excited for the next book in this Seduction series. ***This copy was given in exchange of an honest review only.

This was one mighty hot and sexy read. Daniel was utter perfection. I loved all the things he did to get Amy to fall for him. He played the game so very nicely. Definitely need a fan for several parts of this book. Amy, I loved her and was frustrated with her. I understood her situation, but not how she could resist Daniel's intentions. But it did end on a very sexy note, so I can't complain. I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.

Amy who was a therapist and Daniel had been best friends for the last seventeen years Amy and Daniel were careful to keep their relationship at friendship because they didn’t want to chance losing their friendship.Daniel and Amy made it through their teens without making out once and that was something. Then Daniel gets a photography shoot at Children’s hospital and it shows Danile life can be short and you should go for what you want and Daniel wants Amy as he has been secretly in love with her for a long time. But Daniel never could find the right time to tell Amy how he really felt. Amy believes men always leave her and will never stay, Amy was afraid of being hurt like in her past that started way back with her daddy issues. Then her last live in boyfriend cheated on her. But also Daniel had a lot of woman in and out of his life and Amy had seen all of them. Daniel would do almost anything for Amy. But even though they had been best friends for so long Amy didn’t trust Daniel with her heart. I liked this story but did find some things irritating about it like when Amy has been with Daniel then pushes him away because she is afraid she will lose him. Why didn’t Amy go to a therapist for herself ? But otherwise I did enjoy the story. I also thought the plot was good. I liked Daniel’s character a lot no matter what he doesn’t give up on Amy. I also love how he didn’t just blurt out his feelings or didn’t pull away from Amy. He also tried to ease Amy into more than just friendship. I liked the characters and the ins and outs and I recommend this story.

Friends to lovers story but not without a bundle of missteps, mistakes and a whole lot of planning. Along with a few good chuckles as well. Daniel and Amy have been friends for years. Best friends. He's a photographer and after doing a piece on the children's cancer ward at the hospital Amy works at, he's ready to make a move toward changing things up with Amy. Daniel has a plan though, aided by his sister and another friend. Amy is a counselor in the fertility clinic, her view toward men is pretty skewed, her father left her and her mother when she was 15, then a bad relationship where her ex boyfriend cheated on her. She thinks all men do is walk away. She and Danny are very close and share everything. Just when Danny thinks he's getting close to getting her to see the upside to a more than best friends, she balks and shuts down. But meanwhile he's all she can think about. Things progress pretty rapidly, Amy wants to sleep with Danny and thus they do. Her co-worker and best friend has been a sounding board for her through this. Encouraging her. When Danny gets an opportunity to go on a photo shoot for National Geographic with a woman, a very attractive woman, Danny gives Amy the option of telling him he can say no, he tells her she is more important. She tells him no that he needs to do this for his career and after discussing, he agrees. Issue solved. Next day because Amy has absolutely no control over her imagination, her trust in Danny and herself when he comes over she ends it with him. No matter what he said and how much he expressed his feelings, she just ices over. And she ends their friendship of 17 years. He is crushed. He leaves for his month long assignment, she doesn't here from him, she is distraught and when Maggie finally blasts her about the way she treated him, she comes to her senses. Or so it appears. And you have to read the book to see what happens after that, because there's a lot of things that transpire. This is my first read from Jess Dee and she did a great job with this book. It takes place in Australia, the characters are well done and the dialogue is great, as is the inner dialogue with these two. It's got it's steamy moments as well and they're so well done. Nice work and great story! I loved it. **arc from NetGalley and Entangled in exchange for a fair review**

This is a good friend to lover’s romance. I loved the chemistry between Amy and Daniel, the sex was steamy. The story was okay for me, Amy had a lot of baggage and it was hard for her to trust Daniel. Can he convince her otherwise? Overall it is an entertaining read. I liked it.

A totally new author to me and I was pleasantly surprised by the writing style and heat of this book. Amy and Daniel are best friends and have been for years. They do everything together except for have a sexual relationship. Amy believes that will ruin everything but that's not how Daniel sees it. He's done waiting for her to fall IN love with him instead of just loving him as a friend. Amy has big issues about men loving, cheating and leaving. She seen it in her father and her ex-boyfriend Simon. She thought Simon was the ONE for her but she was proven wrong. Daniel has loved Amy for as long as he could remember and when his work opens his eyes, it makes him realize he needs to go after he wants. So he comes up with THE plan and he enlists help from friends and family. He has his work cut out for him for sure, but he knows they're meant to be. He just now needs to convince her of that. I will definitely be checking more books out by this author.

Planned Seduction by Jess Dee is a nice friends-to-lovers story with good bones that with a bit more work put into it, it would burn the house down. There were a few spots of lag for me that detracted from my reading enjoyment. Plenty of heat in this one...heat was not the issue. Flesh out the story and the characters more to get it to reach it’s full potential. Overall a nice read and enjoyable way to spend an hour away from reality. An ARC was generously provided in exchange for an honest review of which this is both honest and completely voluntary.

I've said it a million times on my blog, but I'll say it again: I am a huge sucker for friends first types of romances. I'm not sure if it's because that's sort of my husband and I's story or what, but I really love stories where two friends end up together in the end. I liked some parts of this one but others parts REALLY frustrated me. What I Liked: * The male MC is the one that was absolutely head over heels for the female MC. So often, it is the other way around, and I think it's refreshing when the tables are turned. * These two had some sizzling chemistry, and there were some really hot scenes. What I Didn't Like: *This is the main issue I had: The lack of growth in Amy. By the end of the story she STILL didn't really trust Daniel. She projected all of her father's failings and her cheating ex's issues onto him when he had done nothing but be her loyal best friend for years. * Amy doesn't make any sense. She realizes that she has fallen for him so to protect herself from getting hurt she pushes him away.... which hurts her anyway, soooo....?? So overall, I would say that this one was just an "okay" read for me. It's a fairly short read at only about 224pgs, so it's great for a quick romance fix. ** I received an ARC of this title via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. **

I give this book 3.5 stars. The writing was well done, and the sexy times were great, but I just wasn't very enamored of the heroine, and it made it so I almost didn't care about her in the end. Daniel is a photographer, and he's been in love with his best friend since they were teenagers. He was doing a photography project recently at a children's hospital, and it made him realize he's only living half a life, without admitting to Amy how he feels. But, he knows if he just outright tells her, she'll run, so he comes up with a plan. Amy is a counselor at a fertility clinic. She's got daddy issues, and has a wall around her heart a mile tall, especially after she caught her last, live-in, boyfriend cheating on her. Daniel is her best friend and she depends on him a lot. In her experience, romantic relationships don't last, so she's convinced she'd never take that step with Daniel, as it's not worth risking their friendship. Daniel and Amy had crazy sexual chemistry, and they obviously had great chemistry together as friends. But, Amy was so adamant, to the point of unlikable for me, that they could never make it work, because he would get bored and leave her. He was her best friend, but in this, she didn't trust him at all. It ended up becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy, and it was so frustrating to watch. By the end, I almost felt like Amy didn't deserve Daniel and his awesome love, and that made me sad. She kept saying, and thinking, and doing the exact wrong thing, and by the end I wanted to strangle her. For me, the only saving grace was Daniel. He knew what he wanted, and he set about getting it, and he didn't give up, even when he thought he would end up being forced to. I really admire that in a romance hero. Overall, the book was just ok for me, due to my dislike of the heroine. But, the author's writing was very engaging, and I would definitely read her again. This was a good friends to lovers story but there was nothing about that was really "wow". Fairly typical friends for years and never wanted to risk the friendship trying for something more. A recent job shows Daniel that life can be short and you should go for what you want and Amy is definitely what he wants. The characters were good and the overall story entertaining. So while perhaps not original it was entertaining. I would recommend it.

What happens when your best friend tells you that he loves you especially when you have had men leave you all your life? That’s what Amy had to deal with. She and Daniel were best friends since she was seventeen and they leaned on each other for everything. Daniel had known that Amy has had important men in her life cheat on her one way or another and she was more than reluctant to let another man do that to her again. That’s why it was so important to her to keep Daniel as a friend and nothing more. Daniel had a revolving door of women in and out of his bedroom and Amy witnessed all of this…since they were best friends and would confide in each other. That is except for the fact that Daniel was in love with Amy and didn’t know how to tell her without her running from him and what they could have. This was all about two friends finding each other with a different piece of their hearts. It was crazy the lengths that Daniel would go through for Amy and only had me wishing that I had a “Daniel” as a best friend. It didn’t hurt the fact that he a great looking guy who was a well-known photographer. You have to see for yourself how Amy would react to all of Daniel’s actions and would she wise up in time before he leaves for a month on a job with a gorgeous journalist. I received this book as an ARC for a freely given honest review.

ARC Review: Planned Seduction by Jess Dee A man with a plan can prove to a dangerous man. Amy longs for someone to love. However, her track record has made her afraid of the risk. The one person she has always been able to count on is her best friend Daniel. She consistency in her life and she doesn't do well with change. Daniel has broken his share of hearts but his plans for Amy have permanent written all over them. I love the friends to lovers plot but found the story predictable.

Amy Morgan has been friends with Daniel Tanner for more than half her life, he gets her like no one else does, and has been there for every bump in the road of her life. Their friendship is the one solid thing in her life, the problem is there is also an intense attraction flaring between them, and she is afraid if she gives into it, she'll get burned and lose her best friend in the process. She learned early on that men don't stick around when things get tough, and every man that has come into her life has proven that to her time after time, so the odds of Danny sticking around if things go south between them is highly unlikely, and she just can't risk losing him or their friendship. So, when he proposes they give into the flames flaring between them she fights him every step of the way...but eventually her resolve starts to slip, and things start to really heat up, and now she just has to have hope that her instincts were wrong and she won't get burned! Daniel Tanner has wanted to be the one and only man in Amy Morgan's life for some time now, and for the most part he is, but just as her best friend, the problem is he wants it all, be her best friend and lover, but Amy isn't willing to risk their friendship for the possibility of love. So, Daniel decides to get creative in hopes of making her see that he is in it for the long haul, no matter what life throws at them, and that what they share now could be so much more...a forever kind of more. He devises a plan to win her heart, but just when he starts to make headway, life intervenes and he is left trying to decide what path to take... one that leads to a dream of a lifetime, or one that leads that to the woman who holds the keys to his heart! This addictive little tale had me hooked in a matter of minutes and devouring the pages as fast as I could swipe them...and staying up well past my bedtime just to finish it, and oh man was it WELL worth the lack of sleep!! When these two finally let their desire take control, the heat started to rise, my screen started to steam over, and not long after they had me blushing and in desperate need of a fan!! The chemistry they shared was evident the minute they laid eyes on one another, and with each encounter that followed it just continued to burn hotter, and there was no denying it... no matter how much Amy tried! I have to say this turned out to be a very memorable first read for me, it not only introduced me to an amazing new author, but it also made for one hell of a literary escape... one that I'm still filling the heat from!! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.
