Michelle loves to travel and try new things, whether it's a paranormal investigation of an old Vaudeville Theatre or climbing Mayan temples in Belize. She's addicted to movies and used to drive her mother crazy while quoting random scenes with her brother. Though it has yet to happen, her dream is to be a zombie in a horror movie. For the most part she can be found wearing pajama pants and drinking coffee. There may or may not be dancing. It’s all part of the creative process.

Enjoyed it immensely! Love the Var clan. The story was great, the characters lovable and a couple of straight up evil characters were thrown into the mix which made for a nice balance. So glad the royal clan weren't stuffy - you couldn't help but love them and laugh at their innocense. Wouldn't mind escaping to that planet!

Prince Quinn and Tori were interesting characters but i just didn't get into this story as much as the others but there were some intriguing parts and interesting information brought to light.

This is second book in the Lords of the Var series. This was a fun book to read. I loved how Tori didn't take Prince Quinn's interest very seriously. She was there to do her job and didn't have time to play around. Prince Quinn is the royal ambassador for the Var. He doesn't take much of his personal life outside of his royal duties very seriously. He is for a complete shock when he meets Dr Tori Elliot who has come to the planet to assist in removing a biological weapon that the Medical Mafia brought to the planet and then sold to Prince Quinn recently deceased father. He just can't get Tori out of his mind and must have her in his bed. Dr Tori Elliot just wanted a vacation. After working for months on a planet with subzero temps, she is very excited to have some time off where she can enjoy being warm again. Just as she is finishing up her work to start her vacation, the HIA (or Human Intellagence Agency) contacts the company she works for to request some assistance in removing a biological weapon that has the ability to destroy all life form on the planet of Qurilixen. She is forced to go even though she would prefer not to. She is put in charge of the entire group instead of just being one of the scientists assisting in the removal once she arrives in Qurilixen. While out in the marshes, she noticed some interesting things happening to the soil under the vegetation. It piques her interest enough that she requests to stay. The first time Quinn meets Tori, he is trysting with a woman in the hallway. Tori is shocked when she finds out the man in the hallway is non other than Prince Quinn whom she must speak with in order to stay on planet. Quinn can't help but tease the uptight scientist. It's when she walks away that he decides to start messing with her. This is a wonderful book about a very playful prince and an uptight scientist. The books in this series and the companion series are ones I have read a couple times already and plan to again. It's fun to see the changes in Quinn as he falls in love with Tori. I would highly recommend this book and all the others, too.

Tori Elliot wants a break from work, and she almost makes it off the ship. The HIA however draft her in and the money means she can have a decadent Spa stay for a month, so she accepts their offer. She is to be the head scientist to lead a team to test soil  samples and assess any threat to the inhabitants. With all her qualifications, what is the one they need her most for.. she is young and female!!!!  Ambassador, Prince Quinn is a born jokester but a very capable diplomat. And he is very sure that he is never getting mated - famous  last words! Quinn doesn't exactly have a great first meet with this frosty scientist, she finds him in a liplock in the hallway.  Quinn is determined to bed Tori and then he knows he will get her out of system. Quinn’s relentless and Tori decides to play him at his own game. She thinks she will be a roll in the hay and he'll move onto his neck conquest, which suits her just fine. But fate has another ending in mind for these two.  I love Michelle’s stories, especially as this series overlaps so you get to see the action from several standpoints and timescales  within the overall story arc. Quinn is just a fantastic foil to Tori, who hides her passion and sexual nature under a shell of professionalism, wanting to distance herself from her sister. No spoilers here but the teddy bear scene is HYSTERICAL!!!!

Playful Prince Quinn sets his eyes on serious Dr Tori and decides he wants to play. She shouldn't--mixing business and pleasure is not good and certainly not with a prince on her current assignment. She she has been sent to assure there is no biological danger left behind from the previous king's reign. But Quinn is pretty darn irresistible, charming, irritating and one hot cat shifter. Tori gives in, then sneaks off before he wakes to head out with her 3 doctor team. They have a teasing fun relationship with a connection that causes Quinn some anxious moments. Resisting each other seems to impossible but can they get past their hesitation? While playing is fun, there are dangers and enemies that extend beyond the group but possibly to the whole planet. Quinn was raised to believe he should never tie himself to one woman. Can he convince himself that Tori is just for now? When she is in danger can he make choices that risk her? This is a good read with danger, action, laughter and family antics as well as a great love story. Don't miss it.
