I have three sons who are all into golf. At an early age one of them, when he thought we should play golf, would ask if we could spend 'quality family time together'. This book is one that many of us could have written about how much golf meant to bringing families together. Sure there are issues to overcome, but they don't detract from the relationship building. I thought so much of this book, each of my sons has a copy. I would highly recommend it to anyone who has been in a family where golf has been a promoted 'quality family time together'.
I was surprised how honest the author was about his own life. Since many of the passages do not place him in the best light. Also, you really do not have to be a golf fanatic to relate to it. Bottom line, it is a good story about growing up the life of this particular family.
