The book is about polar bears which are endangered species. Climate change in the Arctic sea is damaging the environment in which the polar bears live.

The polar bears habitat is slowly warming up and they have less ice on which to sit and hunt.

The polar bears have to travel a longer distance to find frozen ice for resting. All these changes are making life for the polar bear difficult.
