Poppy, The Wandering Balloon, is the introduction of a new, heroic children's literary character, who will live on through a series of adventures and experiences for years to come. "Poppy" is a character whom both children (ages 3 ) and adults can relate to on an everyday level. He is sweet, innocent, cautious, courageous and adorable. He is sometimes shy and fearful of the cruel cold world outside - just as we are. But when faced with certain realities and challenges in life, Poppy rises above them by cautiously and thoughtfully weighing all possibilities and finding the solutions. Towards the end of each journey, he learns the meaning of self in relation to his peers, as well as his environment. Poppy, in essence, is who we really are when our "inner child" is exposed.

Poppy is such a cute little wandering balloon. I have fallen in love with him. I like the character Mr. Widdles too! Very inspirational little story and would recommend this to all little ones who are struggling in life.

Poppy, the wandering balloon is about learning to find yourself, as Poppy the main character does in the end. This story as well as the character, Poppy, gives new meaning to the phrase "nothing ventured, nothing gained." He is not your average "hero" or generic cartoon character. Poppy is who we all want to be in the end. I hope more Poppy books will be out soon. I can tell he is going to be the next biggest icon in the children's department. Read it for yourself and fall in love with this adorable little guy! I would recommend this book to anyone between the ages of 2-100!
