#Poser by Cambria M Hebert

The Hashtag Series #5

Posers gonna pose...
I am a man who had nothing but found everything.
I'll never go back to nothing ever again.
I vowed to protect her, and that's exactly what I'm gonna do.
The pictures I stumbled upon haunt me still. The secret I shoulder is heavy.
They say secrets put distance between people,
but the truth is far more destructive than keeping it hidden will ever be.
I won't ever tell. She can't know.
When I look in the mirror, my reflection is of who I'm afraid I'll become, not the man I am.
It makes me feel like a #poser, no better than all the others pretending to be exactly who they aren't.
How does a man keep it together when everything is unraveling right here in his hands?
I didn't start any of this.
I never asked for it.
But it came knocking.
When secrets and threats knock, I open the door.
Because the best way to take down a #poser is to be one.

I thought these book series were okay. The first three books followed Rimmel and Romeo. #Selfie and #Poser follow Braden and Ivy. Selfie and Poser are much darker than the first three books. That is mainly due to something that happens to Ivy. Zack is back, and angrier than ever. I thought the best written chapters were actually the 3 that were in Zack's point of view. Don't get me wrong. I hated his character, but the authors writing was much better when she decided to write his POV. As for the romance. I will say it is really cheesy. A three stars for me means a mehhhh. And that's what the entire series was for me. As a person who is writing this review after finishing all the books, take my suggestion and end the series here. There are two more books after this...but to me, they're pointless. I honestly do not even know why the author decided to write those. If you want more of Rimmel and Romeo, then go ahead and read. But for me, I think the good parts of the series ends here. Do yourself a favor and read Cambria Hebert's GearShark seires. The first two books, #Junkie and #Rev, follows Drew and Trent's story. So if you enjoyed those characters in the Hashtag series, then you might enjoy those. I read and write book reviews regularly. If you would like more book suggestions, and are a Goosreads user, please follow my reviews on the Goodreads website under BellesBookReviews. I update regularly!!!

I truly don't know how Cambria keeps putting out a better book each time, but she does. I loved their story and I need a BBFL in my life

In this continuation of #Selfie the characters have so much more depth to them, it seems like Ivy and Breaden just have so many things weighing them down, they have both so many things to resolve, to overcome and sometimes is difficult to do that with the other right there but they both know that the only way to get through them is by supporting each other. I truly loved this book, it was heavy and dark, it made me feel anxious in every chapter, I was really hurting for them and I just wanted them to finally be happy and okay. This book is a game changer in this series, absolutely fantastic!

#Poser by Cambria Hebert 5 stars I seriously loved this book! It was funny, intriguing, witty, and heartbreaking. Secrets were revealed, gut-wrenching, shatter-your-world secrets. Braeden and Ivy were so easy to fall in love with, even more than before. This was an emotional journey with lots of highs and lows, and plenty of steamy scenes. Oh so many things to say, but they'd end up as spoilers.
