I worked for Daniel Kraft's father at the time of the murders. He was very upset that his son was involved with this cult of crazies and tried everything possible to get his son out of Lungren's control. Unfortunately he was trying after the murders had happened and he seemed very hurt after finding out the truth. From all accounts Daniel was a good guy before coming under Jeffrey's and Alice's crazy influence... This book is a very god read, I read it years ago in the hardback version and then discovered it is out of print. Glad to see it available on Nook. Both Jeff and Alice Lungren seemed to be full blown nutcases who got what they deserved, they preyed upon people's fear and led them down a path that resulted in 5 innocent deaths of the Avery family. Why these religious and pious God fearing people allowed themselves to be conned and taken advantage of by these creeps is a mystery to me. Surely somewhere down the road one would have to ask themselves if killing innocent folks is God's plan. Well written, well researched, kept me reading for hours even the 2nd time around. Burn in hell Mr. Lungren....
