Provincia Maritima Italorum (BAR IS1839)

This volume synthesises the available evidence for military architecture in Liguria in the Early Middle Ages, combining archaeological and documentary evidence. A particular focus is on the 5th-6th centuries under the Byzantine domination, when many of the region's fortifications were constructed, later to be reused by the Lombards, and for which the most evidence exists.
