About the Author

Teresa L. Perry, EdD, is an eighth grade English teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada. She has served on committees to improve K-12 curriculum, and presented and studied better writing practices in London, Brazil, and the United States. Perry's research interests include differentiated instruction in middle and elementary school, and she has written several articles on improving reading and writing skills. With 29 years of experience as a public school teacher, she has worked with elementary and middle school students, and has taught English language arts, reading, and art. Perry was also East Region Teacher of the Year in 2003 and in 2010.
