Memoir by Sokunthary Svay, poet and musician. Svay chronicles her journey as child of Cambodian refugees who fled the Khmer Rouge in the 1980s to make a new life in New York. Sokunthary Svay was born in a refugee camp in Thailand shortly after her parents fled Cambodia following the fall of the Khmer Rouge. They resettled in the Bronx, where she grew up.
