Realities is a compelling mix of mystery, conspiracy theory, science fiction, and love story. I received a free e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The plot moves forward quickly, but not at the expense of character development. The characters are not fully developed; however, they are developed enough to get a sense of their personalities and their circumstances so that readers will be drawn to the protagonists. Given its length, the premise is surprisingly complex. Winn manages to make it seem simple and guides her readers to the conclusion without losing them in a maze of tangents. If Winn was decorating a room with her words, the design would look minimalistic at first glance; however, upon closer inspection, one would see that each piece in the room was a study in complexity. It is always a treat to read her books, and I am happy to say that Realities was no exception!

Great book that is a bit like a biography but adds a supernatural slant as a young woman finds her life and her son's changed by a conspiracy. The realities of life are hard and sometimes confusing. The author has captured that and more in this suspense thriller.
