Who thought being so naughty could be so nice? This is the 3rd book in the Wicked Ink Chronicles series and as much as I loved Addison and Rush from the first 2 books, Vincent and Lis have now taken the number 1 spot. I didn't expect it to be as emotional as it was, and I loved it. Too bad it's a novella, because I really didn't want it to end.

Rebel Ink is the third book in the Wicked Ink Chronicles.  I never thought I would be a huge fan of this series but it is and I was so excited when this story came out.  Rebel Ink is Vincent and Lisa's story. I loved their relationship in a weird sort of way. Lisa is the girl that Vincent couldn't get but never left his mind. I love, Love LOVED Vincent. He's gritty, dirty and sexy. I didn't honestly think Lisa and Vincent were a good fix at first, but the more I read the more I could see how they were perfect for each other.  Laura sucked me into the story, with a rollercoaster of ups and downs. Once I started reading I could not stop. Can't wait for the next book in the series.

Vincent is a very naughty boy with a mouth to go with it. I like dirty talking heroes. Just be forewarned you'll need to fan yourself while reading this one. Vincent is trying to keep his mind dulled so his past doesn't creep up on him, but it's getting harder and harder to accomplish. Lisa's life is no longer her own everyone is making the choices for her. Does she really want that life? Thank god for best friends because they know exactly what you need. Her bestie kidnapping her will be the best thing to ever happen to her. Will she grab the chance for a future she wants? Will Vincent get past his inner demons to see the angel waiting to rescue him?

Rebel Ink is the third book in the Wicked Ink series and my first read for these stories. For me, this book has a difficult start. I did not like Vincent, the hero. I found him to be reprehensible and his manner revolting. I thought he was a pig. I was not certain this guy could be redeemable. But then he is.  When put into a situation to confront his horrific past, Vincent’s courage comes through. It’s a reminder that underneath people’s bad behavior is often pain. We get to see what is underneath the layers and that is satisfying.  In a traditional romance, the hero is motivated by the heroine to overcome obstacles. However, for Vince and Lisa, this is not the case. Vince and Lisa are thrown into this situation and have not even had a chance for insta-love. What Lisa provides is unconditional support, something Vince has never had before in his life. The revelation is rewarding.  I am impressed at how much emotional punch the author is able to deliver in such a short book. It doesn’t feel rushed, although it does feel unfinished. Thank goodness there will be more of Vince and Lisa. I will be waiting with bated breath for the next Wicked Ink book.  In a Nutshell: Rebel Ink has whet my appetite for more Wicked Ink books. I can’t wait to go back and start from the beginning and get more wicked goodness.

Hopeful storyline: REBEL INK is the third novella in Laura Wright’s new adult, contemporary Wicked Ink Chronicles romance series. This is tattoo artist Vincent and Lisa’s storyline. Vincent and Lisa were first revealed to the reader in Rush and Addie’s introductory story First Ink. Lisa is Addie’s best friend: Vincent works for Rush at Wicked Ink.  REBEL INK can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty.   Told from dual first person points of view (Lisa and Vincent) as well as a couple of chapters from Vincent’s anonymous one-night stands, REBEL INK focuses on Lisa and Vincent’s second chance, of sorts, for two people who one year earlier spent an awkward night together. Fast forward where Lisa is now engaged to a man she does not love; and Vincent has never forgotten the one who got away.   Five days before her marriage to ‘Buttons’ Lisa finds herself in Vegas, with her bestie Addie, and what happens in Vegas apparently ends up in Minnesota. A night of drinking finds Lisa on a private plane to nowhere with Vincent- for his parent’s anniversary celebration- a celebration that Vincent is reluctant to attend.   Vincent is a man-whore; he buries his demons with anonymous sex, one night stands and in this Lisa sees below the surface. Vincent is damaged; someone or something has destroyed Vincent’s soul, and Lisa is the woman who is willing to take the chance on a man who can’t see beyond his dark and dangerous past.   REBEL INK is a storyline with graphic language; Vincent pulls no punches when it comes to telling it like it is and in this, there are some cringe worthy comments from a man who hides his pain with sex, emotional withdrawal and a bad attitude. Lisa was a bit of a doormat before her latest adventure with Vincent, and in this, Lisa is the perfect match and other half to Vincent’s healing soul.   Laura Wright pulls the reader into a heartbreaking, revealing and hopeful storyline about two people whose lives could not have been any different but so much the same.  REBEL INK is a character driven novella where the past is revealed through reflection, thoughts and first hand accounts.  The world building continues to focus on the people of Wicked Ink-their lives, their loves, and their possible futures.  REBEL INK is an intense, provocative and passionate storyline that ends with a happily ever after for now-there is more Lisa and Vincent to be told.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.   Oh where to start. This book is to die for. Let's start with Vincent. Vincent Vincent Vincent. Oh how I love thee. My heart aches for him.  I loved Vincent. He is tall dark tattooed and pierced. But why is he like this? What is his dark secrets he hides? I loved finding out things about Vincent and his life. I love his crude mouth. But what happens when Lisa comes waking back in his life. In walk Lisa back into his life. A woman he wanted but never got. She back in town because her best friend has kidnapped her to talk to her about her wedding. Los runs into Vincent. She has always wanted him but has never went there because she does want to be another notch on Vincent's post. But will temptation or fate cause her to second guess everything? This book is great. This book does end suddenly but don't worry there is more to come. I loved this series and can't wait to learn more about Vincent and Lisa. The next book cannot get here fast enough. The only downfall to this book is it over before you know it. It sucks you in and you can't put it down, so it's over before you know it. The only thing I wish is they were much longer. But hey 1000 pages still wouldn't be enough of Vincent. This book is a must read. 5 stars all the way.

Two emotionally complicated individuals trying to move on from past mistakes and never managing to let go. Vincent and Lisa’s relationship seems like a toxic, self-destructive obsession. For Vincent forgetting the one that got away has not been easy, for Lisa she has tried to move on in a more stable direction but has bad boy Vincent has never been far from her thoughts. Bad decisions are made by both in the quest to find escape from the painful reality that they just may be the one individual that the other cannot live without. A deep meaningful at times frustrating story of two troubled people seeking to find their soulmate. Good story. I received an ARC of Rebel Ink by Laura Wright for an honest review.

Rebel Ink is the third book in the Wicked Ink Chronicles. Vincent is a bad boy with a wicked tongue, he has a commanding presence that makes women fall at his feet and, oh boy, does he take advantage. Often with more than one at the same time. Lisa came into his life when their friends hook up and she does something surprising, she rejects his advances and settles for normal. If normal is marrying a guy that your parents chose after a few short months just to make them happy. A few days before her wedding, Addison turns up o kidnap Lisa and they embark on an impromptu adventure. Lisa and Vincent end up thrown together, tension flares but the revelations that come to light are surprising and heart breaking. It just goes to show you that you should never judge a book by it's cover. At the beginning of this book I was certain that Vincent was going to screw everything up and I had no idea if Laura could redeem him, but by the end I was an emotional mess and my heart went out to him. It's amazing how much character development can occur in a novella but Laura tackled a difficult subject with care and even Lisa, who I wanted to shake until she came to her senses, wormed her way into my heart. An emotional rollercoaster? Definitely! Worth waiting for? Absolutely!
