Red River Rats, Canoe Trip

My daughter and I paddled a canoe down the
Red river to the Mississippi river, then on to New Orleans. We started near the Texas Panhandle close to Childress, Texas. The trip took 29 days, and we camped on the banks of the river each night. We saw lots of wildlife along the way and met some interesting people. We encountered severe thunderstorms and turned over twice in the rapids.
