About the Author

Always on the hunt for the uncommon things in life, author Sheri Fredricks thrives on creating adventures in her mythological kingdom for her readers.

A former engineering secretary, Sheri lives on the beautiful central coast of California. "I wanted to move away from inflexible right angles and create an unboxed world with no boundaries."

A voracious reader since her early years, Sheri found her brain crowded with stories and characters of her own. "Ultimately," she says, "my husband encouraged me to write them all down."

Sheri loves to spend time at home. A computer hutch keeps her focused on creating stories, but the panoramic view of life on a ranch will call her outside to play in the sun

***I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*** This is the first book I've read by this particular author. In the book the world and characters created are very detailed and descriptive. Her writing has a steady pace, are easy to read, and have moments of humorous and sharp wit. This book centers on royal intrigue, rumors of civil unrest, PTSD, serious environmental problems, and trust issues. Rhycious the centaur is tasked with healing a sickly nymph named Patience. Patience is what she will need to help Rhycious, the centaurs, and the nymph's if they are to all have a bright future. I've never read a shifter book about centaurs before and found this one enjoyable. In the future I won't be passing them up anymore. This couple will find love and a new outlook on life. The road however isn't the yellow brick road. Obstacles, betrayal, and grave danger make their roads hard to travel but they help each other through every issue.

Remedy Maker was my first fantasy romance and first by this author. What a treat! Not only was the remedy maker male, but hot and intriguing! The author did her research and pulled me in from the first pages!! I entered a world of fantasy and incredible characters and I didn’t leave until the end! I fell in love with Rhy and Patience from the start. And did I mention the hero is HOT! I loved the concept of this book and hope the author writes books for a couple of the side characters because I fell for a couple of them too! Thank you, Miss Fredricks! I look forward to more of your books!

I awaited this book's release for a while so I was glad when I finally had the chance to sit down and read it. I've got to give credit where credit is due. Ms. Fredricks excelled at world building when she created the mythological Boronda Forest full of assorted creatures of myth and fantasy. Rhy is one of those tortured, loyal heroes who has a duty to carry out, but he also has his heart in the right place. Patience was a entertaining heroine, in my opinion. Her quirky vocabulary tickled me since I have issues with inventing my own words as well. There was no shortage of witty dialogue and great sexual tension when this pair were together, trying to sort out the problems in the forest and political alliances among the mythological factions. It was a pleasure to read how Patience's unbiased, understanding nature helped Rhy through his PSTD and his own past prejudices. Their blossoming love was sweet to read, and Rhy is a hero you'll fall in love with. He's protective of his little wood nymph, and I absolutely loved that. There is no shortage of "sexiness" to the book as well. This was quite a read that I enjoyed very much. I liked the emotional depth added to many of the characters and the awesome fantasy world in which they co-existed. You should definitely give Remedy Maker a try if you haven't already.
