Rescue My Heart (Animal Magnetism Series #3) by Jill Shalvis

She never wants a hero…

After a tragic stint in the National Guards, Adam Connelly returns to Idaho and to Belle Haven, the animal shelter he owns with his brothers. All Adam wants is to be alone. Then he opens the door to the past—the woman whose heart he once broke. Still gorgeous, still tough-as-nails, but this time, unusually vulnerable.

Holly learned the hard way to never depend on a man for anything. Now, of all men, Adam is the last one she wants to see, and the only one she needs. Her father has gone missing in the Bitterroot Mountains and she could use someone with tracking skills to help find him.

For Holly and Adam, each with their ghosts, a trek this desperate, this unpredictable, and this intimate, will have its share of risks—including opening their hearts one more time.

If you enjoyed Books 1 and 2 in the series, you will most certainly enjoy this one. Jill Shalvis writes characters that you would like to have as friends and neighbors. It is a thoroughly enjoyable read.

Wasn't my favorite in the series but if you like Jill Shalvis you won't be disappointed. It was sexy and some parts were laugh out loud funny.

Jill Shalvis is one of my favorite authors and never fails to create stories that make you laugh, cry and sigh all in one book. This is just another fantastic creation that has a tough, sexy hero, a strong heroine and some cute animals thrown into the mix. Adam has returned to Belle Haven after a tough stint in the National Guard and now suffers from PTSD. Holly is now divorced and has moved back home to help her father run his ranch. She has decided that she is tired of alpha males ruling her life, but when her father goes missing she has to depend on Adam to help search. Adam and Holly have bad history but when they work together on the search, bad feelings are put aside and new chemistry is started. Great read.

What's Not To Love About BadAss Alpha Males Who Loves Animals. Throw in A Past Flame And The Outdoors And WOW, YOU HAVE A HIT!!! Meet Adam Connelly and Holly Reid, who have a past together... Adam broke Hollys' heart when he up and left her to join the military. Now he is back surrounded by his brothers and recovering from PTSD while training Rescue dogs. Holly has returned from New York to help her dad with his ranching businesses. She is now divorced and much wiser when it comes to men. Holly's dad goes missing and she turns to Adam who is the best at S&R missions. Working and spending time together draws them back to each other. But first they have to overcome old hurts from the past before they can move on.... Jill Shalvis Rocks With This Series! Pick It Up And You Can't Put It Down, It's A Magnet!

I have absolutely loved every book in this series so far! It has been a lot of fun getting to know all the characters in this series, havent met one yet that I didn't like! These stories will melt your heart, make you laugh, shed a few tears and keep you engaged the whole way through!

While this book is an acceptable read, its choppy pacing and not-as-well developed characters added up to a disappointing book that I too easily put down and did not want to finish. If you've read the other books in this series, you'll notice that the personality and character development of the hero does not jibe with how he is presented in the previous books. The plot line could have been made much better with careful editing. I think this book was hastily put together or written at different times, and it shows this in the story line. If I had read this as a first book from this author, I might not have wanted to look at other titles.

This is the first book I have read by Jill Shalvis. I found it to be an easy and entertaining read. It was enjoyable enough that I will go back and read the beginning of the series.

Il ove Jill Shalvis, but this wasn't one of my favorites. The story's point of view was more from the female's view and not enough from the male's view, making him across as a real jerk. I actually got frustrated with it. The story moved in a odd direction. Not one of Jill's best, but  I still somewhat enjoyed it.

I loved this book. I loved how the main male character felt unloved and not worthy and how the female main character knew much more and showed him that love could actually conquer all that happened in his past if he would let it and open himself up to her. HIGHLY RECOMMEND entire series
