Loved this book. Gavin and Mitch are well-drawn, intriguing and hot. They are driven by their pasts in a very realistic way. What also impressed me is that there is a very good mystery here. I had a hard time putting the story down because I wanted to see what would happen next. What did happen, as the reader knows it will, is smoking hot m/m sex. Whew! Considering the hunkiness of the main characters, there is tenderness and love here that jumps right off the pages. You will enjoy this book.

First for the Disclaimer--I was given an arc in exchange for an honest review. OMG!!! I honestly loved Resist. I loved this book so much that I couldn't resist reading it a second time. I fell in love with the members of Sphere of Irony while reading the Famous series. All of the band members are survivors in some way. Gavin is no exception. My heart weeped for Gavin from the beginning. The prologue gutted me, tears falling freely. Gavin didn't want for money when he was young, he wanted acceptance. Gavin is gay with an ex-military father. Daddy dearest tried beating the "gayness" out of him. The record label now wants Gavin to keep quiet about his sexual orientation. A stalker wants Gavin to deny his sexual orientation. Soon, the stalker steps up his attacks trying to force Gavin further into the closet. The label hires profiler Mitch Hale to help find the stalker. Yes, this part is predictable--Mitch is gay but in denial. What isn't predictable is how Mitch deals with it. Mitch is Ex-FBI. He grew up and worked in a world of Don't ask, Don't tell. He didn't ask about his own desires. He didn't talk about is desires. He resisted them, until Gavin. Mitch's struggles a lot.Mitch's denial causes problems on the job and with Gavin. Resist is the story of one man resisting love and another wanting him to accept what is in front of him. Resist is a story of mystery. I had now idea what would happen with the stalker. I had no idea if Gavin and Mitch would finally get together. I couldn't resist hoping for a happily ever after. I couldn't resist caring deeply for Mitch and Gavin. They just seemed so real. So real that I want Gavin's mom to adopt me. She is such a hoot.

Heather C. Leigh hit it out of the park with Resist. This is the 3rd book in the Sphere of Irony Series and it just might be my favorite so far. This book is about Gavin who is the bass player in the band and Mitch a former FBI employee who now does private security work. Mitch is brought in to help with a stalker that Gavin has who is becoming more intense. Right away you can tell these two both feel something for each other but Mitch is in denial about his sexual orientation. I really enjoyed the way Heather wrote and handled this book. It wasn't about Mitch just finding out that he preferred guys but rather about how he has always known but has denied and hidden those feelings his whole life. This book needs a warning label because once these two finally get together it is so HOT your not going to be able to stand it. The rawness and passion between the two of them will definitely leave you blushing. I also want to say that I have read other m/m romances and have often felt that authors put hot passionate scenes in them just for the shock factor and that they were often over done. Heather didn't do any of that with this book. In my opinion she kept it to just what was needed while also giving us what we wanted. I loved how she seamlessly navigated their relationship. This book definitely left me speechless and I can't wait to see what is going to happen in Hawke's book! We got to learn a little more about him in this book and how him and Gavin actually meet and I can just tell that his story is going to be amazing!
