So glad you did a prequel to Josh and Hannah.

Always enjoy Lynda Chance's books. This story was great! Don't know if that kind of intensity on Jeff's part would be tolerated by a woman, but it made a gooood story. Have already bought the next two books and they are just as good. NOTE: Hannah's story starts out when she is about 15 but nothing "grown up" happens until she is 18. Some folks were concerned about her age.

I must say, I was curious as to how Jeff and Janet met. I certainly didn't like him initially; but as with almost all of Lynda's leading men, he wears you down until you love him almost as much as the women that they love. Great read!!! ?

I don't like to give any author a bad review but this book disappointed me very much. I'm all for the alpha male who is dominate but this male character goes a little too far for it to remain sexy and appear like a confident male. He tries to dominate so much it's like he is not confident in himself. She is also a weak character that gives in to him at every turn and that is not what a strong male would really need. Also I bought this book hoping that it would be a steamy romance with a good story and portray good ranch life but it was so far from true cowboy style it was ridiculous. It should not be categorized under cowboys, no true honest, hard-working cowboy would act the way this character did and not have his son out working with him or expect his wife to be a part of that ranch. Also the sex scenes started way too early, not nearly enough foreplay to make it interesting, it instead made her character feel cheap and dumb for allowing him to practically force her.

I can't believe we finally have the prequel for the Redwood Falls series. I loved Janet. That girl is no pushover and she isn't taking any of Jeff's crap. The man is one of Lynda's Uber Alpha men and he is over the top intense. Watching these two navigate the beginnings of a relationship and turn it into a family was wonderful. I highly recommend reading the rest of the series. Thank you Lynda, you have my standing ovation. Highly recommended author and series Adult read

Another perfect alpha from LC! Great couple. Can't believe it took me so long to connect the dots, that this was the prequel to Zach and Hannah's stories. Now I am re-reading them for the total effect! As always, I want more. Hope LC writes fast.

Lynda writes about strong alpha males, which I adore. This book gives the prequel story for Hannah's (from Josh and Hannah) parents. This was a great story in the Redwood Falls series and I hope there will be more (hint hint)

Lynda Chance gives us a story that shows us where Zach got his drive and intensity and how staying power and stubbornness are part of Hannah's genes. Jeff and Janet's story was hot and intense. Great insight into Redwood. Can't wait for more hot Redwood stories.

When Janet Smith, single mom, shows up at the Bar M Ranch looking for work she has no idea what a crazy whirlwind her life will turn in to. Gruff, brooding, and domineering ranch owner Jeff McIntyre is a difficult man to work for. Add in their uncontrollable attraction for each other and the situation is explosive. Jeff wants her but he's unwilling to offer any emotional connection. Will she get out before her heart becomes too involved?? This is the first Lynda Chance book I've read and I must say I really enjoyed it. The insta-lust /insta-love was a bit much and Jeff was a character that was hard to like but still I have to say I really liked the overall story. I would definitely recommend it.
