About the Author

Cassandra Featherstone has been writing since she could hold a pencil.

She wrote her first story about a girl picking strawberries when she was three and has been creating worlds in her head ever since. After winning multiple awards for essays, poems, short stories and a very cheesy academy romance novel in high school, they selected her to attend the prestigious Governors School for the Arts in high school.

Her love of the arts is vast: she plays three instruments and marched flute/piccolo for six years), took ten years of tap/jazz/ballet/tumbling, and sang/acted major roles in many musicals and plays. She auditioned for a slew of colleges, but selected NYU for musical theater and lived in NYC for several years while she was in the studio.

After meeting her husband, she moved back to the Midwest and eventually spawned her mini-me, affectionately known as the goblin.

She has worked in many industries, from banking to retail management and, most recently, a decade in multiple positions at an indie bookstore until COVID-19 permanently closed her educational services department. Cassandra is passionate about literacy, but when she picked up her laptop to write her first published novel in March 2020, she focused on subjects that not only spoke to her soul, but affected many of the women she’d met throughout her twisty life path.

Bullying, PTSD, body dysmorphia, mental illness, reinvention, and claiming your space are frequent themes in her books, as well as respectful, non-fetishized representation of LGBTQIA+ relationships. Her expansion of the reverse harem genre to include various types of polycules and diverse characters with three-dimensional personalities, hopes, and dreams was less common when she first published, but to her delight, becoming a standard reader request in the current atmosphere.

Cassandra lives in the Midwest with her computer geek husband, artsy college goblin, and five cats that Loki himself spawned. Her works include sci-fi fantasy/urban fantasy, paranormal, humorous, and academy RH with characters over eighteen. Her books never include non-consensual elements, but feature accurate, safe depictions of BDSM and kink lifestyles.

I freaking love this series! So much mystery and all this drip feeding of information that just fits together in this perfect intricate web that must of taken so much planning! I can't wait to read more! I love our FMC Jolene and her crazy antics she makes me laugh out loud especially when it comes to her sense of humour with Seer her bestie.You definitely must read the prequel or I think you'll get mighty confused but this book will definitely drag you in!

I loved the prequel; this is even better! To be honest there were a few things that I had a hard time understanding, or felt were missing but I took the time to read it again, and it helped some. There were a few spots I felt stuff was missing though. In the end though, I loved it. There's something for everyone, there's the companion animals, shifters, spicy scenes, lots of drama, mystery, and many rom-com LOL moments.

I could not put this down. The prequel sucked me in with all the intrigue, but book 1 hooked me like nothing else. The main character Jolene is so so badass - she's like the girl you want on your side.I love how protective the guys are of her and how they all come together. BUT man oh man that cliffy was mean. Not sure how I'll survive waiting till the next book comes out though. A TOTAL MUST READ.

This was the perfect follow up to Road to the Hollow and I LOVED it!!! There was so much more mystery than the prequel and I took so many notes with all the questions I have. I absolutely loved the animals and all their antics and the guys.....yyuuuummmmyyy!!! And after that ending.....WTH?!?!? My fingernails are almost nonexistent and I'm missing quite a bit of hair now lol!!! I'm SSOOO excited for the next book!!!
