About the Author

Kenzie lives with her husband in New England. She has been fortunate enough to travel all over the world to places like Africa, Greece, Switzerland, Holland, France, England and, of course, Scotland. Edinburgh is one of her favorite places. Creativity seems to be part of her soul as she paints portraits, takes photographs, and bakes. They have all added to her overactive imagination especially writing about strong women and alpha men. She looks forward to adding to her adventures by telling the stories of Mara, Leigha and Raquelle.

I wanted to like this, but it was too wordy and the repeated images of steel riveted about her heart (where the title comes from) and of rivets pulling loose was overdone. They meet on the plane to Cancun. She's terrified of flying and he helps her get through it. Both are booked at the same resort where she's trying to come to terms with her abusive husband's suspicious death. I do wonder if anyone mistakes a Scots accent for Irish. I'd like to read a rewrite because it is a new take on a romance novel and could be very good.
