New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh stuns with a sizzling contemporary romance...

A bad boy wrapped in a sexy, muscled, grown-up package might be worth a little risk...

Molly Webster has always followed the rules. After an ugly scandal tore apart her childhood and made her the focus of the media's harsh spotlight, she vowed to live an ordinary life. No fame. No impropriety. No pain. Then she meets Zachary Fox, a tattooed bad boy rocker with a voice like whiskey and sin, and a touch that could become an addiction.

A one-night stand with the hottest rock star on the planet, that's all it was meant to be...

Fox promises scorching heat and dangerous pleasure, coaxing Molly to extend their one-night stand into a one-month fling. After that, he'll be gone forever, his life never again intersecting with her own. Sex and sin and sensual indulgence, all with an expiration date. No ties, no regrets. Too late, Molly realizes it isn't only her body that's become addicted to Fox, but her heart...

Incredible read! Had me cringing, blushing, and giggling like a school girl! I couldn't put this book down, very addicting! Will be looking at the other books that go with this series. I would also recommend her other series psy-changelings. Those arr very addicting as well :)

wow ... a great start to a great new series This is a wonderful story by Nalini Singh, who definitely knows how to write interesting characters, a beautiful developed relationship and sparks, which will burn you. As I was not so lucky with my last few books in regards to sizzling, hot feelings and sparks, this was definitely what I needed. This story is about Fox, a very successful rock star, who falls in love with Molly. But Molly is scarred and can’t cope with the spotlight. Although I am wary about love at first sight, Mrs. Singh did a wonderful job in this story. The building of the relationship was so beautifully done and both, Fox and Molly, were great characters. Fox is a delicious Alpha male who has to fight his own demons. I loved that the story shows both POVs as this makes the experience far more satisfying Their story shows how to conquer your fears and how to overcome your internal scars, was heart-wrenching and full of sparks. I loved how they worked through their troubles and stood together The secondary characters are also full of life and so vividly portrayed that I fell in love with all of them! I can't really decide, who is my favorite ... I first voted for David, than fell for Noah ... but as you get to know more about Abe ... Nevertheless, there are some things, which dampened my enjoyment a bit. The first half is well divided in both POVs, but the second part mainly shows Molly. It is good to see how she works through her fears. But we don’t see so much of Fox, which is a shame as Fox also has his demons to fight and seems a bit less developed in this part. The second thing is, yes, I adored Fox as well, but there was a bit too much admiration for him … after the first part, his physique was quite clear to me ;) All in all it was an amazing story and something I really needed. I can’t wait for Davids story and I really, really count on a book about Charlotte … there has to be a story with T-Rex – pretty, pretty please!

3.5 stars--Fell short of my expectations--ROCK ADDICTION is the first storyline in Nalini Singh’s new adult, contemporary Rock Kiss series focusing on the members of the American rock band Schoolboy Choir. This is sexy pierced and tattooed lead singer Zachary Fox and demure librarian from New Zealand Molly Webster’s storyline.  Told from close third person POVs, the focus of the storyline is the building relationship between Molly and Fox (as he likes to be called). For Fox there is an immediate attraction-a possessive pull where he instantly knows that Molly is ‘his’.  His response is visceral and within a matter of a few minutes, Fox stakes his claim with the other members of the band. Molly on the other hand is a shy, quiet, librarian with low self-esteem and no confidence, whose goal in life is to remain out of the public eye. A horrendous childhood has left Molly with a fear of the media.  Molly promises herself one wild night of passion but Fox has something more permanent on his mind. With only one month to claim Molly as his own, Fox fights an uphill battle every time Molly’s inner voice reminds her of their limited time together. Molly is a naïve, twenty four year old whose history with men is limited and virtually non existent, and in this her emotional reactions were confusing for the reader as well as the new man in her life.  There was something almost bi-polar with Molly’s personality when it came to her emotional maturity or lack thereof; or perhaps it was her painful and continuous revelations about her inexperience with men. Numerous misunderstandings and jealous rages seem to be the highlight of Molly’s days. Molly’s past issues control her choices at work and at play. Zachary Fox is no longer the typical bad boy of rock and roll-he doesn’t drink or do drugs; and there have been no women in his bed for a very long time but that’s not to say he didn’t enjoy the lifestyle before.   His early years have also left him with some baggage but he has grown to accept that he cannot change what has happened in the past-but make no mistake, Fox is not without a temper and when he doesn’t get his way, he makes his feelings known.  The combination of Fox’s rock and roll lifestyle and experience, and Molly’s naivety did not make for happy bedfellows especially in the early stages of the storyline. Fox is a man who is determined to make their relationship work but Molly’s emotional drama is sometimes too hard to handle. The relationship is one of insta love/lust especially for Fox. The sex scenes are numerous and frequent. Our couple spent more time having sex than getting to know one another. If their attraction is purely physical, how can a happily ever after be on the horizon? Even our heroine questions if there is anything beyond sex for the couple. The secondary characters are colorful but stereotypical including the other members of Schoolboy Choir (David, Abe and Noah). We are introduced to Molly’s sister Thea who does PR for the band; and Molly’s best friend Charlotte who is always a phone call away every time Molly’s self esteem takes a dive. The world building follows the members of Schoolboy Choir on the road, behind the scenes, their private lives and run-ins with the paparazzi and the law. There is the drama of jealousy, addiction and a horde of groupies at every opportunity as well as a hint of what is to come. ROCK ADDICTION is an entertaining storyline with a HEA but a storyline that fell a little short of my expectations. Nalini is an amazing author of the paranormal but it did not translate well to a contemporary, new adult storyline.

Nalini Singh is one of my auto-buy authors.  I’ve never read anything of hers that wasn’t well crafted.  Rock Addiction is very different than Ms. Singh’s paranormal works.  This is a hard rocking, hard sexing, rock and roll contemporary romance.  Bad boy rocker Zachary Fox is just as alpha in his own way as any of the other heroes Ms. Singh has written and librarian Molly Webster is smart, sassy, and stronger than she knows.  When these two come together magic happens.  Put aside your expectations and enjoy the ride.

Super fun! Nalini Singh is off to a great start with her Contemporary Rock Star Series- Rock Kiss!    Her strong return to her Contemporary roots has all the guilty pleasures of the Rock Star Romance Theme (Glitz, Tattoos, Intrusive Fame, Talent, Burning Up the Sheets Sexuality, Talent, Tortured Souls, Good Girl, Bad Boy) with few of the potholes (Fox is not a man whore. Molly is not too stupid to live. There is angst but it is reasonable and reasonable jealousy too). And as always Singh's gifts as writer make the romance something special.    Singh started her career writing Categories Romance so she is very at home in the land of billionaire alpha male heroes who want their lady and want her now. She does it well.   Yet, Fox is steadfast and repents his arrogance.  Molly has her own life, before him. during courtship, and after they are together.  They are both fully realized characters.    The secondary characters are wonderful and we have major previews of the next books in the series.    There are a few moments where I wanted something deeper (not that there aren't real emotionally compelling scenes, there are).     I am sure with each book in the series the love stories will just get richer and more developed.  I can't wait for the next book!    I was given this book for my honest review. So, there you have it.

A marvelous read. They are a perfect couple. I could have done with less bedroom scenes. Though hot. There were just too many of them. Which I felt took from the storyline. However, the relationship was what made this book superb. A must read.

I just love Molly and Fox! Both have rough childhoods to overcome and they actually have to confront their issues and work together. I love that Fox makes no bones about his attraction to Molly. While Molly is a virgin their first time there isn't any nonsense about purity or any equating with chastity and morality. There's direct consent before and during. There is a building of trust and the evolution of a relationship. There is plenty of on page sex -more than in some of Nalini Singh's other series-but it feels natural to the storyline. It's just a book I keep coming back to again and again as a comfort read because the love, tenderness, and romance in the book are just the kind that leaves me with a happy sigh and a smile at the end of the book every time.

I didn’t love this one. Molly annoyed me a lot; Fox was sexy…except for his anger and attitude at times, which were a big problem for me. I’m giving this 2 out of 5 stars. This was a long audiobook, and it felt like at least half of it was sex. Not even kidding. Molly was so wishy-washy and self-deprecating. I wanted to shake her sometimes…and by sometimes I mean most of the book. And then Fox was a little scary with his temper in my opinion. I don’t like angry dudes. Sorry, not sorry. I liked some of the secondary characters more than the main characters in this one. Like Charlotte, Thea, T-Rex, and Maxwell. It’s because of them that I probably kept listening to this, even when I wanted to stop several times. This was almost my first DNF book of the year. Are you kidding me with those last 6 or so minutes? Major eye roll at his dumb decision at the end of the second to last chapter. Not going to tell you what he did, but just no. The ending of the book was better than the beginning, but I don’t think I’ll be continuing with this series. If they were shorter audiobooks maybe, but 11+ hours of this, I can’t. I should have called it quits earlier on, but sometimes I have a problem putting a book down.

I had this random desire to read a rock star romance and this was the one I chose. I was very entertained. The main characters had interesting and in depth backgrounds. The supporting characters as much so that I kept hoping for more about them, found out at the end that a few of them at least will get their own books in the series, so yay! The idea of the rock star falling for a simple librarian (or any simple "normal job" girl) is one we'd all like to believe in. And while I'm sure it happens, the stories that come from this type of relationship are always kind of a fantasy of most women come to life on the pages. Fox and Molly seemed to connect so completely that I can't help but wish to see more of them as I continue on in the series with the other characters. I recommend this book for anyone who, like me, might want to try out a rock star romance...or anyone who enjoys contemporary romance in general.

OMG I loved this book SO MUCH!!!!!!! About half way through I went to Amazon and purchased the rest of the books in the series. I am absolutely in love with each and every one of the characters, each and every one of the band members!!! Fox and Molly are the main characters in this story and I want to be part of their family!!! Noah, Abe and David make up the rest of the band, then there's Charlotte who is Molly's best friend and Thea who is Molly's sister and the band's publicist. Their stories are hard, none of them had easy lives and they learned hard life lessons way to early in their young lives. This was the saddest part of the book and I cried which I normally hate but in this case I was so taken in with the book and the characters I forgave the author and just kept going. It's about falling in love forever, no cheating and no one leaves, EVER!! It's one of the best books I have read/listened to in a while!!!! I'm off to message the author!!! Get the book!!! Happy Reading!!

I loved this book, was hooked after the first few pages. Molly is an amazing woman, strong, beautilful, knows exactly what she wants. Fox is a rock god and loved her from the start. They had a lot to deal with. Lots of raw hot sex, couldn't put this book down.

I received this ebook from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Nalini Singh is one of my favorite authors so when Rock Addiction came up on Netgalley I knew I had to read it. I was not disappointed! Molly Webster has tried to put the past behind her by living a very structured life away from the spotlight, because her childhood was marred by a hideous scandal that tore her family apart. Then Molly meets Zachary Fox, a tattooed rock star who is every girl's dream. Can she resist his offer for one amazing night knowing one will not be enough? Molly has put her life back together after her terrible childhood. She has a very quiet life and likes it that way. It helps to keep the past from creeping back in. Fox has his own demons he tries to keep buried. His life as a rock star keeps him in the spotlight with the media always on his tail. When one night extends to one month, how can Molly possibly give him up? Fox has become an addiction she doesn't want to break. Can they overcome the fears that have haunted them? Nalini Singh is the master of a steamy romance novel whether it be Paranormal or Contemporary. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
