New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh's new contemporary romance novella is pure hard rock and scorching heat...

What happens when the Gentleman of Rock decides to play dirty?

A drummer for the hottest rock band on the planet, David has a single, powerful weakness: Thea, the band's publicist and the woman who steals his breath away with her every move.

Only problem is, Thea doesn't date clients--or musicians. Emotionally scarred by a cheating ex, she's not about to risk her heart with a man who has groupies buzzing around him like flies. Even if his sexy smile ties her up in knots.

What she doesn't know is that David is a one-woman man...and he's madly in love with her. David's determined to prove he's worth the risk, and willing to court her, step by exquisite step. Thea's about to discover just how long and hard this handsome drummer can play.

Rock  Courtship, A Rock Kiss Novella, Nalini Singh Review from jeannie zelos book reviews We met Thea and David in Rock Addiction, the first book in the series. This novel could be read as a standalone, the story is explained along the way so the reader can follow events easily but it’s so much better knowing the full story and background in my opinion.  I loved the first book which was full length, but this is a novella and I'm no so keen on those, always feel as if I am just getting into them when the end rears up at me. Still, its a good read, funny at times, very bittersweet at others. David had been advised by Thea’s sister to put his case for their relationship in a memo, having already asked her out and been turned down. He knows there’s attraction there – Thea’s just scared to enter into anything with him. The memos that fly back and forth between them get really amusing, and made me smile. David really puts  a lot of thought into his first ones, and takes away Thea’s objections before she’s even made them.  I can understand why Thea is cautious, she’s had her heart broken before and a rock star isn’t who comes to mind when one thinks of steady, reliable boyfriend material. As David says though, he’s never had that kind of publicity since their very early days years back. He doesn't do the groupie lifestyle and it’s not fair to judge him for the behaviour of others. Once she gives in – wow – once again Nalini writes some searing sex scenes, scorching up the pages...   SO why isn’t this five star from me? Partly I think is the length, I think there’s so much to explore between them that novella length restricted that, and made events unfold too quickly. The drama part, where it all goes wrong, where the heartbreak happens was good but so so brief. I’ve said before, I need to wallow over it, to feel close to tears for the main characters and though it was so believable, and handled well, it just didn’t deliver what I needed. Stars: Four – its a hot, sexy read, but too short to have the impact it deserves. Full length and it would be a five from me. ARC supplied via Netgalley and publishers .

I looked forward to reading David and Thea's story from seeing them through Molly's eyes. And it was so much better then I hoped. His affection for her is swoon worthy. Perfect couple!

Excellent four book Series... Important to read in order, Rock Addiction, Rock Courtship, Rock Redemption and Rock Wedding... Great story lines, great characters and lots of fun and interest in the reading...

As with any novella, I mainly just wish for it to be longer. I'm a greedy reader and I find myself almost always wanting more. This is the story for David and Thea and it's sweet and challenging and parts were a bit rushed, but it still made sense. If you're a fan of theirs in Rock Addiction then you are sure to love this story. I just hope we hear more about how their relationship goes throughout the rest of the series.

In “Rock Addiction”, successful rock band Schoolboy Choir's lead singer Fox meets the band's publicist's sister Molly, and falls for her. Molly notes that the drummer, David, seems to have it bad for her sister, Thea – but Thea's been burned by a bad relationship and isn't looking to get herself into another one, especially not one with a client – extra-especially (if that's a word) not with a client who's a rock star with groupies constantly attempting to get his attention. Molly tells David to appeal to the businesswoman, and write a memo; it may or may not work, but she won't be able to resist reading it. “Rock Courtship” is the story of that memo. And the reply. And … Author Nalini Singh impressed me in the first book in this series with her ability to combine characterization and plot while interweaving some incredibly erotic scenes. “Rock Courtship” adds an additional layer to her storytelling skills – innuendo. The “memos” traded between David and Thea start hot – and get hotter. That is, until they decide to converse in person – except it turns out that “conversation” isn't the first thing on either of their minds. I care about the characters that Miss Singh has developed. I want them to have a “happy ever after”. I care enough that after receiving a review copy of the audio version of Book 1 in the series, I purchased this audio book simply because she hooked me on this series with that review copy! (Credit also goes to narrator Justine O. Keef. , who I'd not heard of before that first book but now consider myself to be a fan of.) Warning: If you cannot handle some incredibly hot romantic scenes, this book is not for you. On the other hand, if you don't care if the protagonists do anything other than undertake in nocturnal bedroom calisthenics, this book may not be for you either. BUT if you appreciate characterization, plot, and erotica blended together, this book gets my highest recommendation. RATING: 5 stars.

I just re-read this book a sure sign of a good book. It is a stand akone sequel. I enjoyed the story but the second time around the sex seemed a bit much. Would have liked more interaction between the characters.

I really enjoyed the 1st book & this one I really, really enjoyed! The plot, the well developed characters that you really get involved in & loads of steam. My only complaint is that it's too short! Thank you to the author :-)

absolutely loved it This was a real nice novella regarding two of the side characters from Rock addiction. we get some information on them in the first book and I loved how this developed. David and Thea were perfect. I really loved the Memos :) - they were so much fun and showed the real characters beneath the public persona a wonderful addition to the series

I loved David and Thea's story. What fun, a hard hitting drummer loves a hard hitting woman. He just needed to prove it to her. Great addition!

I really enjoyed this novella and look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series.     My main issue with book was the technical difficulties  I had just reading the  book.   At the  end of chapters and parts the ereader would kick me out of the book all together and  i had to figure out how to get back to where I was.   Ended up  finally jumping ahead and going back a few pages.  ugh frustrating.

I just... I just can't even... Gah!!!! I freaking ADORE David!!!! He is an absolute doll in this book, and jeez, can that man write some sexy memos! Rock Courtship takes place at the same time as the previous book, Rock Addiction. This story is night and day from Molly and Fox's. Where theirs was passion, sex and intensity, David and Thea's is about emotion, communication, trust and understanding. David ROMANCES the hell out of Thea, he is so sweet and understanding of her fears and insecurities. I just adored how gently he treated her, he truly is the Gentleman of Rock! The buildup is slow and sweet and you can truly feel how much David and Thea love each other. This series keeps getting better and better. I can't wait to see what comes next! If you are looking for a short romantic read that will tug on your heartstrings then grab Rock Courtship!! *I received a copy from the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
