Enjoyed the book. Mostly liked Nash, found Maisie annoying through first part of the book. Good action, interesting introduction to series. Getting set to read the next book now! Beth in NC

I'm not sure how this book got such rave reviews!

Worth reading, but not as great as the reviews would have you believe.

I’m 40 pages in, and I regret wasting the $.99 I spent on this book. Nash is okay but unremarkable, and Maisy is absolutely terrible. She’s whiny and spineless, and, from what I’ve read, has absolutely no redeeming qualities. At this point, I honestly don’t care what happens to either of them. I’m closing the book now, and although I doubt it, maybe later I’ll come back and try to finish it.

I can’t imagine how Maisey felt when she found out that her husband was already married! Then to learn that the only reason he wanted her was to have a baby because his wife couldn’t conceive. After the baby was born, Maisey wasn’t needed so she would be killed. Lucky for Maisey, her mother suspected something was wrong so she called ex-Navy SEAL and life-long friend Nash Adamson to find Maisey. Of course, he agreed to bring her home. Nash knew this would be a hard rescue mission for him because he and Maisey had been so close when they were younger. Actually, she had turned him down when he proposed after high school because she didn’t want to be a military wife. Nash had moved on and married. But his life had not been easy. He had lost his wife and son but couldn’t get his head around the fact that they are gone so he hasn’t been working with the team for about a year. He planned this rescue on his own. Not an easy job. Especially running through the Everglades with an 8-months pregnant woman and her ex’s hired guns trying to kill them. Well, kill him. She had to be kept alive until she had the baby. I loved the way this book showed SEALs to be so capable. They handled terrifying but exciting situations quickly and efficiently. What a horrible ordeal Maisey went through to get away from her ex. She was a bit naive so it was hard for her to accept the despicable man he was since he had been so charming before they were ‘married’. This was an exciting, action-packed adventure. I liked the romance and flash-backs showing Maisey and Nash as children and teens. It let us see the relationship this pair had all their lives. I really liked this story and recommend it if you like romantic suspense with lots of action.

J: This was a really good story. A little cheesy at the end but well worth reading the next in the series.

Lots of excitement in this book. We know from the beginning who the bad guys is, but there is a lot of suspense as we try to figure out if they are going to be able to get away from him or not. Nash Adamson is a former Navy SEAL, who is trying to overcome some personal loss in his life when he gets a call from his high school girlfriend's mother asking him for help. Maisey has evidently gotten mixed up with a major drug lord and is in danger. Maisey Blake fell for Vincente Rodriguez's lines and thought he was her long awaited Prince Charming come to claim her at last. Little did she know that he was already married when he married her after finding out she was pregnant with the child he is desperate for. Will Nash be able to rescue Maisey from where Vincente is holding her hostage? ** Received free in exchange for an honest review **

Rogue by Laura Marie Antom SEAL Team: Disavowed Series Book One Nash Adamson hasn't really been living since his wife and son died a year ago. He hadn't been using the skills he'd learned as a SEAL either. Not since his other ex-SEAL friends thought he needed to take a break so he could pull his life together. That's why he was on this mission to save a woman without the rest of his team around him. Maisey Blake made some pretty poor decisions in her life. Letting her first love go because she felt all men in the Navy would be like her dad—no good. This latest poor decision...which she blamed on her no-good father as well...had really gotten her into deep trouble. Her third mistake was not obeying orders from the man who came to rescue her. This has the looks of being a really good series. I loved this first story and can't wait for the next one. A group of ex-SEALs team together to use their skills in their civilian lives...since they were discharged for taking things into their own hands on the field. Heroes to some...criminals to others. **Sexual content and language
