Overview

Find out what happens when two chicks in the suburbs open their home and hearts to four chicks from the hatchery? First-time chicken farmers, Bronwyn and Christina take you on a journey through the fear, fun and foibles of one of humanity’s most important companions - the chicken. Chicken history, science, politics, pop culture, religion, social justice, and even psychosis is woven throughout in an informative and eccentric voice. Amaze your friends and family with your knowledge of chickens – inside and out. You will never look at a chicken, or an egg for that matter, in the same way. We dare you not to cry at the surprise ending.

About the Author

Cradle-fed crawfish, gumbo and Saints football, Bronwyn came to age on Bourbon Street, where the beats of different drummers became the soundtrack of her life. After graduating from Louisiana State University, Bronwyn packed a bottle of Tabasco sauce in a bag, and headed out into the world-first to Botswana as a wide-eyed idealistic Peace Corps Volunteer, then to Dallas, Texas as a naive federal employee, before landing in the middle of the South Pacific in American Samoa as the great protector of mangroves. When she was voted off the island, fate led her to Maryland, where she now lives today with her family.
