Frankie Valenti is tired of being written off as a joke. When she signed on to her family's reality show, the promise of running Valenti Brothers Construction had made the extra work worthwhile. Except she found herself cast as the comic relief, and now no one believes she can take this seriously. She’s making her own show now to prove herself, and there's $100K riding on her success. Good work, on time, under budget. Piece of cake, as long as everything goes according to her plan.
Jake Ryland is under strict orders to make these reality shows a success if he wants to move on to bigger and better things. He does what it takes, pulling all the strings, manipulating the game. He's never worried much about the consequences, until now. There’s something about Frankie that makes him second-guess himself. This show is his ticket back to fame, so why does it all feel empty when his plans fall into place?
They say that love can build a bridge, but will ambition burn that bridge behind them?
I may be the baby of the family, but I'm sick and tired of being the comic relief.
I'm going to prove to my father that I am ready to take over the family business.
All I have to do is knock this vineyard renovation out of the park for this reality show.
Good work, on time, under budget... or I owe him $100K.
Easy as pie. Or it would be, if it weren't for my dick-rector Jake Ryland.
So he runs this cursed show. So what?
That doesn't mean he gets whatever he wants.
Unless of course what he wants is to get those starched shirts of his a little dirty. Against the wall, in the wine cellar, on top of the bar...

About the Author
As a young woman, Eva Moore loved nothing more than to dive between the pages of a romance and lose herself in the story. They were perfect for avoiding midterms and report cards. She even met her husband while reading a book. About the time the second baby came along though, she found she had little time for diving into anything but laundry. Missing her stories desperately, she began to make up her own. The stories she played with in her mind while she washed dishes and changed diapers eventually made their way onto the page, and she was hooked. Eva now lives in Silicon Valley, after moving around the world and back, with her college sweetheart, her three gorgeous girls, and two Shih Tzus who think they are cats. She can be found most nights hiding in her closet/office, scribbling away, and loves to hear from the outside world. Please visit her at www.4evamoore.com.

Frankie Valenti and her brother Gabe had vowed to take over Valenti Construction once their father retired. After Gabe was killed on a military deployment, Frankie still wants to fulfill her part of the promise. Filming on the reality TV show her father got the company into, has Frankie as the comic relief. She's never taken seriously. Now with a new show, Frankie wants the chance to show everyone what she can do. Jake Ryland, child actor, show runner for the first series, and still in charge of the build of the Valenti vineyard show, doesn't want to stake his reputation on the unproven 'talent' of the screw up. When Frankie is given the chance to do exactly what she's dreamed of, Jake is not happy. He still is filming 'B' roll footage when Frankie has some deliberately caused missteps, just in case the project falls flat. As Frankie and Jake learn more about each other and begin to respect each others talents, trust and admiration grow, and they proceed towards the beginning of a personal relationship. A wildfire threatens to take down the vineyard and all that's been done, can this project be saved? I was so happy to see a resolution to Dom and Jo's issues, and the whole family rallying around them. Great conclusion to this series!
Roughed In is the third book in the Exposed Dreams series. I really enjoyed this story and found the characters to be well developed and likable. The storyline is well written and enjoyable, with chemistry, family issues, career problems, and two people who are meant for each other but have obstacles to overcome. This is the first book I have read by this author and I look forward to reading more. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the 3rd installment of the Exposed Dreams series and a chance to visit with the Valenti family. Frankie is determined to be seen as a strong women running her own construction job. And not just the comic relief for the reality show they are filming around her family business. Jake is the producer and in past books we found him to be a little annoying. The author did a great job digging into his past and making me fall for him. The chemistry between Frankie and Jake was very steamy. I love a enemies to lovers story and this one was top notch. It was fun to catch up with the rest of the family and we got a to see more of Frankie's Mom who I loved. 4 1/2 stars
