A plus-sized woman with good reason to be wary of men...
A crystal warrior who believes himself unworthy of a woman's love....

Ruby’s plus-sized, boyfriend-less, and turning thirty. But things are looking up when she's given a piece of kyanite crystal and encounters the most beautiful man she’s ever seen. Wow, best birthday present ever! But the Adonis-like Kyan must have an agenda: He couldn’t truly be interested in someone like her.

Kyan can’t figure out why Ruby hides behind smart come-backs and self-deprecating comments... and seems hell-bent on pushing other women at him. How can Ruby not understand the allure she holds for a man like him?

Both Kyan and Ruby have powerful reasons to distrust their growing feelings for each other. But before they can sort through their emotional baggage the Crystal Guardian intervenes... and time runs out for them both.

Wulf's book it's what yanked me into this story line & this book was a different take on what could have been another generic romance book. I will have to disagree with the first review. Yeah the girl is plus size & not 100% confident but what women is? The book was good & I plan to continue reading the series. I hope you enjoy it too.

This is a book worth reading. There is someone for everyone, and sometimes all you need to do is just brlieve that this is YOUR SOMEONE!!!!!!!

More formulaic, characters less mesmerizing. I tebd to resent romances centered around fat chicks who hook a hot guy then are very self depricating and unsure about it, but while this book still played on that cliche, the insigjts and motivation of Ruby were far more convincing than others I have read.

Sorry. I loved the first book with Wulf. This book about an insecure FAT woman was a turn off. All we seem to read about was how gorgeous he is and how insecure and overweight she is. One big turnoff for me is an insecure heroine. An insecure, fat one was just a no no. I am bummed because I was so looking forward to this. I don't know who would enjoy reading about an overweight, insecure heroine but it sure ain't me!
