Father Amando Llorente, S.J. was born in Mansilla Mayor, Leon, Spain, on August 24, 1918. He went to Carrión de los Condes de Palencia, a jesuit high school, and afterwards decides to enter the Jesuit order. He majors in philosophy at Oña, Burgos, and teach at Colegio de Belen in Havana, Cuba, from 1942 to 1945.
