Wow! What a great read. I highly recommend SADDLES AND SIN by Jessie Evans to any romance lover, as long as you understand Robert is mine! Lol. I just want to steal the sexy cowboy and rising country singing star Robert "Bubba" Lawson away from Marisol Medina and keep him for myself. But I've got to admit they're great together and after the rough time Marisol's had she deserves this kind, sweet, loyal and patient man beside her just as much as she needs his take-charge, bedroom dirty-talker, fiercely protective Alpha man ways. So I concede, but only to Marisol. As for anyone else, I'm claiming him for my book boyfriend.<3 Ms. Evans has given us the story of a young woman who trusted the wrong man. An unscrupulous man who used her, manipulated her feelings for him, and then betrayed her in an unimaginable way. But Marisol is a strong, intelligent, ambitious woman who is determined to succeed on her own terms even when everyone she knows has turned their back on her. She is a professional talent agent who learned her lesson in the hardest way possible about mixing business with pleasure. Her well-learned lack of trust in men has kept her to herself for over two years without a problem, but working with Robert, her recently signed singer, makes her heart race and sends her libido into overdrive. Robert is just as attracted to the beautiful Marisol and equally determined to break down her walls and prove to her he's a man she can trust. An unexpected week at his family's ranch puts them in close quarters and their chemistry proves irresistible. I loved how Robert, or Bubba to all his family and friends, was so patient and loving to the deeply wounded Marisol. He wasn't afraid to express his feelings or his unconditional devotion which is just what Marisol needed to give him her heart. Beautiful couple. Beautiful love. Beautiful story. Robert's friends and family add lightheadedness to the story, making the book even better. Saddles and Sin is Ms. Evans second in her Lonesome Point, Texas series but it is definitely a stand-alone novel with each book being about a different couple. I did not have to read the first book to fully enjoy the second. 4.5 stars ~Complimentary copy received in exchange for a honest review~

Country music, ranch life, rambling families of blood and heart, and Bubba... Let me start with Bubba, because he is just a hair short of a perfect. He is kind, caring, protective, generous, sweet, loving, passionate with a taste for a mild kink... And he can sing, while he is hot as all get out. Yeah, perfect! Marisol is his sexy manager, who wants to keep all just professional between them. Marisol is tough, 'go-get-them' girl who gets things done, but she also shows kind, sweet, helpful, and generous side. She has troubled past, that she wants to keep hidden, at any cost. And it does nearly cost the relationship she is starting with Bubba, since she keeps running away with any sight of trouble. The relationship between them happens fast, the attraction is blazing, the connection between amazing. They are sizzling, wild, and hot together, desire runs free and lush. There's not much more than happens here, it is the first weeks of this adorable couple's life, as they learn to trust and love each other. It has a great message of forgiveness, moving on from hurtful past, and how love and understanding, acceptance can heal any kind of hurt, lovely story. ~ Three spoons with a teaspoon on the side

Even better than the first book in the series! I am in love with Bubba and want him for myself! He is the sweetest alpha male I have come across, and seems to know exactly when he needs to hold back on his rough and dominant ways and when he can let himself go with Marisol. Marisol has been through some tough times with her ex and her family. She does not give her trust easily and as a result does not close friends. She tries to hold back with Bubba, but his understanding and stubborn ways have found a way past her defenses.  I enjoyed seeing characters from the first book and I can't wait to read about Pike and Tuli in the next one! eARC received in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 star The story has laughs, secrets, suspense, and heartbreak. I was pulled right into this story. This is Marisol and Robert’s story. Robert wants to sing and make it big but family must come first. Marisol is his manager and wants him to be a success but is he throwing it all away by going home and helping out the family? After a scandal Marisol’s family does not talk to her so she does not have the support that Robert has behind him. Can they turn off the passion and work together to get the ranch things down and get back on the road to singing? Orr is the passion about to explode and take them both down in the flames? I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I recommend this book.

I am a BIG fan of Jessie Evans and was thrilled to once again be swept away with her newest release Saddles and Sin. Who doesn't love a friend who is not only hot, but sweet and loyal to no end. Robert 'Bubba' Lawson is that man. The good hearted cowboy who is devoted to his family and friends. Bubba is also a very talented singer who finally finds the courage to venture out of Lonesome Point and follow his dream of becoming a singer, without his family knowing his true intentions for leaving. With the help of his manager Marisol, he hopes to one day live this dream. As Bubba and Marisol work on getting his career up and running, he is called back to his family ranch, bringing Marisol with him. The kiss that they shared the night before his return to Lonesome Point leaves both Bubba and Marisol hot and wanting. Marisol's past mistakes have left her alone with no family, friends or love. She is too afraid to allow what she feels for Bubba to become more than what they shared in that kiss. Although Bubba is sweet, kind and respectful, he also has a hidden alpha male persona when it comes to Marisol and going for what he wants. What he wants is Marisol, heart, body and soul. Marisol tries to keep how she feels for Bubba bottled up and keep their relationship a professional one. While in Lonesome Point Bubba is determined to break down Marisol's walls and convince her that everyone deserves to be loved. Can Bubba be honest with his family and share his dreams of becoming a country singer? Can Bubba break down Marisol's walls and show her that everyone deserves love? Can Marisol get over her passed mistakes and allow love in? Saddles and Sin, a must read!!!

Saddles and Sin by Jessie Evans is the second book in her Lonesome Point, Texas series. This story is about Bubba (Robert Lawson) and Marisol Medina. We initially met Bubba in the first book, Leather and Lace as Mia's close friend and partner in crime. We learned then that he sang and had a chance at a recording contract. Marisol is Bubba's manager and is dead ste on making him successful and famous and getting him signed into a great recording deal. His success equals her success and that's what she has been working so hard for. The only hiccup in this plan is the attraction they have towards each other. Bubba's resistance is due to his gentleman-like manners, Marisol's is because she is both gun-shy and afraid of messing up the working relationship they have. When opportunity presents itself, Bubba lands a kiss on Marisol that surpasses all kisses, ever. She plays it off as inconsequential but is only lying to him and to herself. When Bubba gets the phone call from home that he's needed on the ranch and as flu-bug has temporarily wiped out most able bodied males in his family, he takes Marisol with him back to Lonesome Point so they can continue to "work" on building his career and finishing some songs they were working on together. What happens in Lonesome Point, however, will change both their lives irrevocably. Another beautiful romance with just enough heat to start the panties sizzlin'. I am excited to read the next book, Diamonds and Dust.

I had the honor of receiving an ARC of Saddles and Sin for an honest review, and honestly, I have no idea where to start... My only problem with this book is that I couldn't put the damn book down. Saddles and Sin is a supremely well-written story that keeps you on the edge till the very end. Jessie Evans had me captivated from the very first page and had me on a roller coaster of emotions right to the very last page. She makes you feel every emotion that the characters are going through. I cannot tell you how many times I had tears streaming down my face. Saddles and Sin is a beautiful, emotional story of true love that despite all the obstacles, it could lead to the most amazing things. This book is wild and raw and so very HOT!

I love Jessie Evans and her books. She's one of the best, cleanest, witty writers I've ever read. She makes you feel like you are there sharing their lives with them. The characters and towns come alive in her books. I love the Lonesome Point Series. Bubba intrigued me in the first book and I’m so glad that he has his own! Bubba is a sweet, sexy cowboy who can sing. What's better than that? Nothing! Add in his dirty mouth and penchant for all things kink and you have a winner! His manager, Marisol is a bit of a conundrum with her sexy looks and icy walls. One minute she's melting looking at Bubba and the next she's running off. She's the only one who calls him Robert and he loves that about her. He wants to conquer her. To own her. But she's skittish. He has a way with words that made me swoon; sharp, sweet and dirty. The perfect combination. Will Marisol be able to let go of her past and open up to Bubba? Can Bubba get past her secrets and convince her that he's the one? Do not miss this one!! There was something about him, something more than the handsome features, the drool-worthy body, or the smoke and velvet voice smoother than twenty-year-old-scotch. But Marisol knew he tasted even better than he smelled, and was the kind of man who wasn't afraid to spank a girl during a first kiss. "Yes, there's a chance things might end badly, but I know from experience that fear doesn't keep you safe. All fear does is keep you lonely, and shout so loud you can't hear your heart when it whispers." "And I bet Jesus had a great sense of humor. They just left the funny stuff out of the Bible to save space." I'm not going anywhere. I'm yours. And you're mine. No returns, no exchanges.

Life is about to change for Robert 'Bubba' Lawson in a very big way. The success he's long dreamed of is on the horizon, and there is no one he'd rather share it with than Marisol Medina. Marisol, Bubba's manager, is a real pepper pot, a go-getter with a feisty attitude and the drive to help Bubba break into the country music scene. She also happens to drive him wild, and the feeling is very mutual. I cannot even put into words the love that I feel for Robert 'Bubba' Lawson. Jessie Evans has written a sweet and sexy cowboy that, if possible, is even hotter than all of her previous men, and that's saying quite a lot! I mean, swoon city. Not only is Bubba an awesome friend, as he showed us in 'Leather and Lace' (Lonesome Point Book 1), he is also a genuinely nice guy. Did I mention that he's panty-meltingly hot? And talented? And smart? And quite possibly the most fabulous boyfriend ever? I picked up this book and, as with all of Jessie's books, could NOT put it down. Once I really met Bubba, there was nothing to do but hang on for the ride as he swept Marisol off her feet and broke down every wall that she tried to put up. He is not afraid to lay everything out there, and to make Marisol's not-so-vanilla fantasies a reality. For real, where can I get my own Bubba? I'm afraid that Jessie may have spoiled me for other book boyfriends...I obviously cannot say enough about how much I loved Saddles and Sins, and I absolutely cannot wait for Tulsi's and Pike's story in Diamonds and Dust.

I have become a huge fan of Jessie Evans and what better way to dive further into her books then with cowboys. I was swept into Lonesome point with Leather and Lace where we fell in love with a side character named Bubba. Now in Saddles and sin it's Bubba's turn for love. This book made me Laugh, Smile, Cry, Happy, Sad, etc. etc. Just draws emotion out all around. The romance/love may seem a bit rushed, but not if you take into account the prior working relationship. If i had to pick a "room for improvement" I'd go with the sex scenes. They didn't flow for me, but it wasn't enough to detract from my love of the book. anxiously awaiting Diamonds and Dust

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review that I can sum up in one word - wonderful! I fell in love with Lonesome Point, Texas in the first book of the series (Leather and Lace). Saddles and Sin is Bubba's story and it did not disappoint! Bubba is the "good ol' boy" who struggles against family opinion as he pursues his dream of becoming a country singer. The family ranch means everything to his Mom and brothers but he knows he makes a much better singer than cowboy. Bubba takes a vacation from the ranch to secretly work with Marisol who is helping him wade through the obstacles of making his dream a reality. While collaborating on new material and facing perhaps the biggest break in his musical career, family obligations call Bubba back home. Marisol returns to Lonesome Point with him, facing her own memories and demons of life in a small town while unwilling to let Bubba miss out on a once in a lifetime opportunity. Unexpected resistance from his family and haunting memories that won't stay in the past causes Marisol to retreat behind the wall she has built against forming any new relationships. This story had me cheering all the way through. Bubba is the cowboy one dreams about while Marisol is a strong, empathetic woman – it is fun to watch the sparks fly! Their path is not an easy one. Who can’t relate to family pressures and haunting mistakes that simply won’t be left in the past? I couldn’t put the book down as Bubba and Marisol grew closer despite Bubba's Mom's hostility and the realization that Marisol's past will never be forgotten. A sexy read that made me cheer for the good ol’ boy and the cowgirl! I can’t wait for Tulsi and Pike’s story.
