Detective Nickie Savage is on the heels of a domestic child trafficking ring--the same one responsible for her own childhood abduction.
When the ringleaders repeatedly slip her grip, Nickie suspects there's a mole funneling information to an outside source and calls upon her new husband, Duncan Reed, to find the leak.
But Nickie needs more than Duncan's photographic memory and computer hacking skills to get back on track. She must make peace with the ghosts of the children she left behind.

Nickie and Duncan are two of my very favorite characters, I love their relationship. ..Nickie's tough but vulnerable and Duncan will do anything to help and protect her. Nickie survived a child trafficking ring and in this book she is trying to take down the ring and free the children imprisoned by it. Ms. Wolfe gives us a bit of a cliffhanger ending that left me looking forward to the next installment.

I have been looking forward to the next book in the Nickie Savage series and it’s finally here! I was given an advanced readers copy in return for an honest review, and I have to say I could not put it down and was not disappointed. This is one of my favorite series. Nickie and Duncan are involved in another case involving the child trafficking ring from Nickie’s past. I love how you see them grow as a couple, while dealing with their own past demons. The complex relationship they have as they work together to put an end to yet another cell of this ring is fascinating. Nickie struggles with having Duncan help in areas he can go that she can’t and Duncan wanting to protect Nickie from her past while watching as she delves into an area he knows causes her pain and heartache. In this book you revisit the original child trafficking case, but with new twist and turns. Great writing, suspenseful and keeps you guessing. Definitely recommend reading and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

J: I just didn't quite feel the connection with these two as I did in all the others in the series. And although this is a really good story, the dialog didn't seem to flow; I often had to go back and reread a few paragraphs to be sure who was talking. Nevertheless, there was a whole lot going on in this story, and I did enjoy that. I sense that there is at least another story to come though, and I will be looking for it.

Here's My SAVAGE DISCLOSURE, I Loved This Book! ~ I don't know how I missed this release, but I think with the similarities in the book titles I thought I had read this one. So after not reading a Nickie Savage book in a while, (I'd read RT Wolfe's first book in the Island series, but no Nickie) I was overwhelmed with the warm feeling of returning to Duncan and Nickie's world. It was like seeing an old friend. The smile just came and I thought, "Yes! Duncan and Nickie!" This is one of my favorite series and I'm already mourning that there are only two left. I don't know what to say about this book other than it had the same heart-stopping action, (in the bedroom and out), and gut-wrenching stories, both Nickie's and the victims she helps. I also love all of the minor characters, Andy, Rose, Eddy and Slippery Jimbo, to name a few favorites. One of the best lines from this book was when Andy was given a choice of backing out of a dangerous situation and he said, "No way. I live for this s***." So Andy! And I love all of Slippery Jimbo's misspeaks. Great job again! Great pace, loved every minute of it!

I read book 3 without having read the previous books in this series. I was attracted to the strong heroine, Nickie, who survived a sex trafficking ring, rape, and foster homes, chose to be a cop to fight the same scrum that abducted her and other girls. She had terrific support from her husband who suffers from PTSD. This made them a flawed and interesting couple, to me. There was a lot action, some violence, and very sexy married sex. This was not a typical romantic suspense story. The themes are intense, and there's a lot going on and to keep track of. The story unfolds at a rapid pace with three storylines. There is a campus rape story, an ongoing story of Zheng, and an attempt to break up a mall scam. It felt a bit much to get into in one novel with one of the storylines wrapping up fairly quickly. I enjoyed the secondary characters, including her brother and Jimbo. There was humor, romance, drifting apart, putting themselves in danger, and a strong sense of willingness to do the right thing at whatever cost. The themes of a woman fighting campus rape, a sex trafficking ring, and trying to be a good cop and wife made this a satisfying read for me. I liked Nickie, though not always the choices she made, thought Duncan was hot and supportive and also made some dubious choices. I would like to read the next book in this series because it did end in a cliffhanger. I would like to read the first two books to see how she got here. This is a solid female cop detective series with intense storylines that are serious, current issues. I appreciate what the author shared about grooming, human trafficking, and campus rape. I learned a bit. I recommend this to readers who like an action-packed drama with a strong, flawed heroine, that is also a romance. I received a copy from eBook Discovery Read and Review Club. I had not previously heard of this author or series. I'm glad that I got a chance to read it.

The only reason I read this series is that I love the characters. The story has a lot to be desired, it jumped all over the place with no warning. Will someone (editor) please educate the author on military time, no, better yet...stop using it! Nicki almost seems like an Eve Dallas rip off from J.D. Robb's In Death series. If you follow his series it's an okay read.
